Sorry for the revert

Greetings,

I'm sorry that I reverted in your comments T-V distinction yesterday without explanation: a large part of the reason was that you had included an already present paragraph on Norwegian, so there were then 2 identical paragraphs. I was also in a hurry on a poor internet connection, and much of what you wrote on Latin seemed unsourced and inaccurate (actually, on consulting sources, what you wrote was closer to the truth than I remembered). Anyway, it was a time that I reverted without enough reflection, and thank you for raising an important issue in the article.

Please feel free to edit my edits with sourced material: I know I've seen more on the purported origins of this, but don't have it referenced. I am personally suspicious of the 2 emperors theory, but it's there in the text, but if there's someone who in print is suspicious, it would be good to quote them.

So, sorry and göszönöm (sp.?),

--Drmaik 05:49, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Let me thank you, I was indeed a little bit rude, pardon my french. :o) I'm totally immerged in some brutal edit wars in Hungarian Wiki, and became too touchy about rv-s. Sorry and thank you for your gentle response!! The 2 emperors theory seems to me too simple, need to look up. I'll work on it ASAP (hm). V79benno 16:32, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Göszönöm's right spelling is köszönöm, this guttural consonant is breathed. So, én köszönöm (= let me thank you) :o) and minden jót kívánok további munkádhoz (= I wish you enjoy your further job). V79benno 16:32, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Latin Help?

Greetings Benno, I see you are a fellow fan of Rome, and one of the few Latin scholars still around... Could you please help me with something shamelessly commercial? Im sure you know the familiar "vinum regnum, rex vinorum" - Could you translate, in similar form "King of Oils, Oil of Kings" (referring to a vegetable oil) into proper Latin? (too many cases for me) Thanks in advance! István 15:59, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

"Oleum rēgum, rēx oleōrum" Very nice indeed. Thanks! István 21:00, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Animals on the underground

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Animals on the underground, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Segítség!

Szia!

A probléma a következő lenne:

Írtam a Benyovszky Móritz nevű cikkbe a család eredetéről, ás B.M őseiről.

Unfortunately, I do not speak Hungarian, so I do not know what exactly User:Pannonia said here. Since I authored much of the section about how three nations claim Benovsky's ethnicity, I have little problem with his edit itself. But banned users are not allowed editing Wikipedia and this user is just a new sockpuppet of a banned User:VinceB. Please see [1] . Another user requested a CheckUser against him, but the request was even refused as unnecessary because the behavior of Pannonia itself is a duck test.[2] Just to avoid misunderstanding, I asked the administrator responsible for CheckUser for an answer again. And the answer reiterated that an administrative action against Pannonia (talk · contribs) and Odbhss (talk · contribs) is really needed.[3] VinceB is also abusing IPs of the range 195.56. His most recent, and still unblocked sockpuppets are 195.56.91.23, 195.56.224.252, and 195.56.207.50. I have been fooled by his previous sockpuppets, but not this time. Hy Im sorry, but you should know, that I wrote to User:tankred (again...)

1) I Wrote to V79Benno In hungarian, because I dont speak englis so good. But, i am going to try to translate it to english for You:

This is the hungarian text:

In English:

Hello V79benno, I am sorry that I am disturbing you, but I think that I just run into an Edit-war, or something...I know you from the hungarian wiki, so I thought that you can give me some tips, how to handle it...

My problem is this:

I wrote into the Benyovszky Moritz article, about the origin of the family. You should know, that according to the article, 3 nations children claim him as their own (slovak, hungarian, and polish). This is the part when it's started to get interesting: to keep the articles neutrality I deleted that sentence which said that he was hungarian. Later, I found that the first sentence claims, that he was slovak. I deleted this to, and I said, that it wont bee a logic thing to claim that he was slovak (right in the first sentence), because it's against the articles other sections (nationality, origin). Still, user Juro, and Juser tankred removes my edits. I already wrote them, but they refuse to answer. Please help my! What should I do? How can I ask a third neutral person to make decision about this? Is there any template to put into the article? And if there is, where? How can I protect the article. Thank you:Pannonia

2) I wrote to you in several times, but you didn't even answer to me. 3) As I said I am not a sockpuppet, and I just want to keep neutralit. If you wish scan my Ip, or something, I dont know, but I am not a sockpuppet. 4) Iam going to send this message to V79Benno too. Thank you:Pannonia 08:04, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Spam in Boilie

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Boilie, by Wikihermit (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Boilie is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Boilie, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD.
