Glossary of bowling entries, esp. re names of splits and spares

edit

Hi, Utfor. I was thinking that the many names for specific splits might better be added to the diagram under splits spare, or some entries left out altogether. The informal names for splits, though not formally 'wrong' under Wikipedia principles but obscure names probably don't reach the threshold of notability, and make the glossary read more and more like a list of trivia rather than a serious glossary about the concepts and principles underlying bowling. I haven't resolved the issue in my own mind, but please give it some thought. Thanks for contributing. —RCraig09 (talk) 18:00, 10 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

User:RCraig09 Thank you for your feedback. I have reverted the glossary for now. What do you think about moving the entries to split (bowling), or do each split need a few sentences of comments? Without comments, will it be trivia even in the split (bowling) page? Utfor (talk) 19:05, 11 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Utfor: I am copying this discussion to Talk:Glossary of bowling so other concerned editors may weigh in. Let's continue any discussion there. —RCraig09 (talk) 19:49, 11 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Warning triangle moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Warning triangle, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Skin food

edit

A tag has been placed on Skin food requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, Utfor,
Please do not create nonsense redirects like this one. It's a waste of time for other admins to tag and delete pages and, to be honest, it just brings more scrutiny to your edits and your account as editors look for other mistakes you might have made. Module:Active hours

edit

Hello, Utfor,

I don't know anything about editing "Modules" so I'm not going to edit this page and instead would like you to remove Category:Wikipedia userboxes from the page. This page has been protected from creation and according to WP:REDNO, red link categories must either be created or removed from the page. Since this category can't be created, that leaves removing the category from the page which I'm requesting that you do. Thank you! Liz Read! Talk! 17:58, 13 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I will do this now. Thank you for the notice! Utfor (talk) 19:00, 13 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Nonexistent parameter

There is no reason = parameter for Template:Merge. The entries at Eggs and Bacon were already at Bacon and eggs, so you could have just redirected one to the other. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 02:50, 3 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
