Request reason:

I seek to have been affected by a RangeBlock placed by a CheckUser, based on vandalism that took place on the same IP range as my mobile phone. I've been advised to submit this request. I would like to request a review of this and whether I am eligible for IPBE. I have sometimes edited from shared locations where anon only blocks were in place, but not for some time. Can assistance be provided please? Thanks.

Decline reason:

Could you try editing again? As far as I can tell, you should be able to edit through the block, provided you're logged in. PhilKnight (talk) 20:25, 20 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Welcome and introduction

Hi, Usual people in life. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  19:21, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

You can usually see who made changes or additions to pages by looking at the page history (drop-down menu under the 'page' tab at--Kudpung (talk) 14:19, 9 June 2010 (UTC) the top of the window).Reply

Yes but I notice whoever did the addition was logged out... Usual people in life (talk) 13:04, 12 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

If users are not logged in, their contributions are recorded by their IP address. That's fine - Wikipedia is "the encyclopaedia that anyone can edit" - it is not necessary to have an account (though it is recommended).
You could use wikiblame to find who edited it, quite quickly: try this link.
So, it was added 18:51, 29 May 2010 by 86.172.80.182 (talk · contribs), with this edit. Their IP may of course change, but that is all we can say about who added it.

Maybe that was you; I can't see that it was added previously, at least not with that exact name. In fact, the word "Cooke" has not been in the article at all, prior to that edit.Search.

Chzz  ►  14:31, 14 June 2010 (UTC) Since I got the account I have always logged in as at Hanley they are currently blocked from editing. Usual people in life (talk) 15:05, 14 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the smile, that was great! If you (ever) need any help, feel free to ask me. Cheers!  Chzz  ►  19:13, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Worcester College of Technology

edit

Thank you for taking this up with the college, that doesn't often happen. It is still possible for students at the college to edit Wikipedia, provided they log in to an account. They won't be able to create accounts from computers at the college, but they could create accounts at home or anywhere Wikipedia is not blocked. Hut 8.5 11:33, 3 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Usual people in life, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! 7&6=thirteen () 11:59, 29 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I became aware of your page. I did this manually (no huggle). It was just a welcoming gesture, and it is the simplest version of the Welcome that I've seen. In that sense, it may be less daunting than some of the other versions. If I can be of assistance (I am not an administrator) please feel free to contact me. 7&6=thirteen () 12:30, 29 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Help

edit

I can't seem to edit on the app, am I blocked or something?

Usual people in life (talk) 18:46, 20 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

You are not blocked, I don't know why you cannot edit on the app. I just checked (iOS) and it worked for me, are you logged in? I am assuming that you did not make this edit from the app. --kelapstick(bainuu) 18:55, 20 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
