April 2024 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to TAI TF Kaan, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 03:00, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the warm welcome. While I do agree with you on the general. I'd like to point out that the current name of the page is factually incorrect. This has actually been brought up on the article's talk page (Talk:TAI TF Kaan#Rename article to TAI Kaan)
Ever since the aircraft's roll out on May 1st, 2023, the plane has been referred to as "KAAN". The website of the Turkish Aerospace, senior Turkish Aerospace officials, even the president of the Republic of Türkiye has time and time again referred to the plane as KAAN. No TF Kaan, just KAAN.
I'd like to attach an excerpt from the official website:
"Within the scope of KAAN Program, Turkey will become one of the few countries to possess the necessary technologies, engineering infrastructure and production capabilities. Once the engineering activities on all the critical technologies are accomplished (e.g. increased situational awareness, sensor fusion, low observability, weapon bay, …etc), which are needed by a 5th generation (or beyond) jet fighter aircraft.
KAAN aircraft is planned to be kept operational in the TurAF inventory until 2070s and will be interoperable with other critical assets of TurAF such as F-35As.
The KAAN indigenous design and development program prime contract between Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) of Ministry of Turkish National Defence and Turkish Aerospace has been signed on 5th of August 2016."
As you notice, the subject of the text has been referred to as "KAAN". the moniker "TF" is nowhere to be seen.
Under the above stated circumstances, the title of the page is factually wrong. please do not interfere further while i correct this mistake.
Again, thank you for your warm welcome, and thank you for your co-operation. Usemymame (talk) 16:56, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's not how it works -- you're required to gain consensus on the talk page first before making a controversial move like this, something that you have not attempted to do, despite having been warned to do so. A single IP's comment from 10 months ago does not reflect a consensus. Your continued reverts and moves constitute edit warring and if you continue, you will be blocked without any additional warning. Discuss it there, get consensus first, and then if that happens, the page can be moved. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 18:02, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you move a page disruptively, as you did at TAI TF Kaan. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 15:22, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
