Resources for checking the reliability of sources

edit

Hi Urgal. While it can be difficult to determine the reliablity of a source, WP:RSP is a list of commonly discussed sources, and you can always search WP:RSN for past discussions as well. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 20:08, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Don Barksdale, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Power forward (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:44, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Just to mention one thing

edit

In one of your recent edits you did not mention anything in the summary section. Please add it makes it easy to see the edit. Pixel Lupus (talk) 14:36, 22 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Jens Johansson, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The Show preview button is right next to the Publish changes button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Victor Lopes Fala!C 17:47, 16 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Fernando Torres. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Hi - friendly advice

edit

Hi Urgal. I notice you have had to self-revert due to 1RR. I made the same mistake not long ago and it appears that there are two parts to the rules - one is that you can not re-revert within 24 hours and the other is that once a change has been reverted it can not be made again by the same editor unless the proposed change has been discussed on talk. Do not despair - it may be time consuming but the way to improve this article will have to be one small change at a time. Happy editing Birtig (talk) 12:41, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Removal of fields used by the visually impaired

edit

Greetings and thank you for your editing. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed an Alternative text field from the musical artist Infobox at the Dublin Death Patrol article. Removing any of the accommodations Wikipedia has built to make our encyclopedia accessible to impaired users can hurt their ability to learn from and to enjoy the information we provide. If there a valid reason for an edit such as this, please document it in the edit summary. Do please take a look at WikiProject Accessibility to learn more about ways to contribute to further accessibility for impaired users.   Please do not add or change content, as you did at Christian Früchtl, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:38, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Mattythewhite: Yeah but i looked at the external link section and added the titles from there (eg https://int.soccerway.com/players/christian-fruchtl/419944/). the links were right under the "honours" section so i thought its not necessary to add a ref behind every won title Urgal (talk) 22:44, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
just checked, there already was a ref in place that listed every tile, i just added the missing ones from the source, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Christian_Fr%C3%BCchtl&oldid=966027767 Urgal (talk) 22:55, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Soccerway are notoriously poor for honours: they list trophies even if the player played no part in the team's wins. I've updated the honours section with better sources. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:07, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Matt Heafy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hellfest (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

Your Revert of my edit to Barbra Streisand

edit

Hey. I noticed you reverted my edit to Barbra Streisand. ([is the edit in question]). I was removing what I though to be [wording]. Can you tell me why you think otherwise? Thank You. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 13:53, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, you sure this falls under this category? I dont think theres anything wrong with the wordingUrgal (talk) 14:03, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Urgal, for some reason i forgot to add pecockwording to that message. Sorry. I am pretty sure it does. We want to avoid words that are subjective. I feel as if it does. but id be willing to put up a NPOV template on the page so we dont bump heads over it. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 15:02, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
nah go ahead and remove it if you feel that strongly about it Urgal (talk) 16:28, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
