Welcome! edit

Hello, Upside WikiWriter, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Gettr, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Help request edit

Hi Tedder! I am wondering if there is any way my edits fixing the stylization of GETTR could be approved. I am a big fan of the service, and the all-lowercase spelling for the site does not match with it's actual branding. Let me know if you have any questions here. Hi Upside WikiWriter, it was reverted by @GorillaWarfare:, who gave a pointer in the edit summary to MOS:TMSTYLE. I'd suggest reading that. Secondly, it appears you are connected to Gettr/GETTR. If that's the case, you should be discussing it on the article talk page rather than editing the article directly, and definitely read Wikipedia's guidelines on having a conflict of interest. tedder (talk) 18:27, 13 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
I do not know why I am being targeted as "connected to Gettr/GETTR??" I am not associated with them but I am simply hoping to make informative edits to their page, as well as their owner Jason Millers page. Upside WikiWriter (talk) 14:07, 16 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Okay, you've made your declaration of no conflict of interest with respect to Gettr. You were not a "target", it was a normal question to raise, given the nature of your edits.
Based on the prevalence of the all-caps naming of the service by the sources used as references, you may be able to make a case for an exception to the MOS style guide via WP:COMMONNAME. Since you've already tried doing it via BOLD, and it was reverted, it is now time to open a discussion on Talk:Gettr to see if you can gain a consensus of other editors for your preferred way of stylizing it in the running text and in the title. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 15:24, 16 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

September 2022 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Nick Cannon, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. General Ization Talk 21:15, 30 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Blocked as a sockpuppet edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Shelbyhoward423 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Shelbyhoward423. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  DatGuyTalkContribs 16:34, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
