Thanks but User:Shshshsh deserves most of the credit on Preity Zinta - he has worked very har don it with obvious results -if you could give it a review some time and help GA it this would be a great help ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 21:37, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Als note I have created this template to go at the footer of tamil film pages. If you could start using it great:

Thanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 21:39, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks edit

Yeh I know Madhavan is a GA. I saw that at the moment it was declared a GA on the talk page... I want to make Zinta's article a GA (and more precisely FA LOL). What do you think? Should I request this user Derek to review the article? --ShahidTalk2me 21:49, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh thanks, I'll work on it further and then we'll see what the article suits for. Thanks again, regards --ShahidTalk2me 14:29, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

BTW, have you seen Preity's Telugu films? --ShahidTalk2me 14:36, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the table clean-up on Zinta's page. If you find something which you can help with, that will be great. I think my dream (making Zinta a FA) is yet to come true very soon. Oh that's great to see users loving Indian films yet non-Bollywood ones. I also like Indian non-Bollywood especially Telugu films. I'm a big fan of Chiranjeevi and I particularly adore his Pasivadi Pranam, which is one of the best thrillers ever been. --ShahidTalk2me 17:32, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oh OK, these I also like. My adorable Manisha Koirala who is one of my favorite actresses has acted in 6 high-budget Tamil films with actors like Kamal Hassan...
Btw, I've once read an interview of Sridevi where she admitted that her Tamil films had required much more talent and investment from her, cause she had roles which had been more serious and complex. --ShahidTalk2me 17:50, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

See what I mean!!! Tamil films of the 1980s. Could you help out? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 17:55, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ideally I'd love to see the tamil lists like Bollywood films of the 1990s. I'm afraid I can't understand the loose lists ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 17:57, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've noticed your good work on tamil cinema in the past its excellent. Its a shame there aren't so many editors such as yourself that contribute more on tamil cinema or indeed telugu or any of the others. Yes if you could develop these lists this is very important for Tamil film on wikipedia - yhis would be of great help. Thanks and congrats on your GA ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:04, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you could also link the actors and directors like the Bollywood lists with the this would help. Good luck!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:06, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

LOL WOW you're right!! Manisha has dissapeared!!! I saw her films, but since 2002 she has increasingly been disappearing. But now she has some new projects. Who knows - maybe it will work out. She has such amazing acting skills. In my opinion, she was a perfect heroine in the 90s (beautiful, with good presence and can act above all) with great performances, but then she went through B-grade and law budget films. Yet I respect her because she sees herself as a performer not a star and that's her personal choice. As she said once after being questioned: "I won't do decorative roles even if they are a part of hit films." That's her moto and I admire art films so she is still a good actress. Do you watch some Bollywood films at times? --ShahidTalk2me 18:07, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yep of course. As I said Manisha's films. I like Kamal Hassan and I think he is great cause he can combine different langs films. Of and Rajnikath, good flicks. I've seen Sivaji: The Boss which is great too. --ShahidTalk2me 18:17, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Keep up the good work thanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 19:39, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

One thing though is is possible to keep them in alphabetical order rather than by release. It makes finding the films easier. It may be easier to draw it up by release from that site but then put in alphabetical order after which I'll give you some help with ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 20:25, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh really great article. I've sent Asha for WP:PR and nobody bothers to review and give some good suggestions. That's a shame. I won't concede. I'll try to make my best to raise them to a FA class article. What is considered to be higher? GA or A-class? --ShahidTalk2me 13:40, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have discussed with Giro who does a lot of organizational work for WP Films and he like me thinks its time we standardized the cinema groups and took the Indian cinema group as part under our wing and part WP:India. At present it seems like many of the participants are inactive and unfortunately general Indian cinema project organization is suffering as a result despite the great work of its active members on certain articles. Now a move to Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Indian cinema task force would guarantee an increase in organization and would be closely monitored by Giro and msyelf and others who could then bat ome date in collaboration assess all Indian cinema articles and try to ensure even covergage of all. . It would create a stable framework and not alienate the group but would be working with overall film project goals of which Indian cinema is undeniably a part of. It would also be a part of the WP:India group natually. Now I need some support in this -I promise a move will strongly enhance the cinema group organization and it would still function the same. Please let me know if you agree asap thanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 17:28, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

A present edit

The South Indian Cinema Award -for your dedication to Tamil cinema. We need more contributors to the industry like yourself. Keep up the good work ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 16:04, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

It will be done in a day or two. I did move it but we need to clear up the banner issue first. After all it would silly to tag Indian cinema articles with both India and films mentioning the joint group in both. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:17, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

It wouldn't hurt to ask certainly. I'm sure there are many websites willing to lease images in return for links to their website from wikipedia which is one of the worlds biggest websites. However it took me a lot of effort to follow through on that. You could certainly contact the site and ask permission. Which site has is the "tamil cinema blog" website ? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 20:27, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I;ve checked both sites the latter seems the best. However unlike Bollywood blog it appears that many of their images are not owned by the site and belong to various different people and often have different watermarks. This would make finding a similar license very difficult ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 20:32, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you can find a Tamil cinema website which exclusively owns the copywright to all its images I would give it a go ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 20:37, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well technically under the license we can use every image but we do try to avoid the watermarks as it is not a good look for an encyclopedia. The site does have a selection of images without them on which we have found and have to be selective. However occasionally where a clear image is not possible e/g I just uploaded one for Alka Yagnik -where hopefully we can crop it in half to rmeove the watermark. And yes I fully agree with the focus does seem to be on Bollywood and Indian cineam should try to get more even coverage throughout including tamil, telugu, bengali, malayalam, marathi, urdu etc. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 20:57, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

All I can suggest is that you try to see if they have any images of Tamil stars on Bollywood blog - it has a massive range of images - I even uploaded images of Brad and Ang and the great grandson of Gandhi. Sameera Reddy is a telugu actress but it had images of her ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 09:25, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

A reply to what? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 21:56, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ahh sorry I missed that. Often I just read the top columning and not the actual page so if I recived several messages I wouldn't have seen it. Here is the original email I sent pretty simple:

"Hi Aryan. I admire your editing here. I work extensively on english wikipedia. We struggle to find images to use for Indian actors and actresses. I wonder if you could clarify the status of the image of Preity Zinta located at http://www.bollywoodblog.com/category/All-News/Preity-Zinta-mocks-director-Shirish-Kunder-on-the-sets-of-Janemaan/ that you created . I would very much appreciate if you would permit the use of her image. Please contact me at my email address and later contact wikipedia if you will be as so kind as to permit its use. All the best and I await your response".

About the merger. I strongly suggest that Indian cinema begins to have article assessments from WP Films which has an excellent assessment and hierarchy structure from which India at present is alienated. It would make so much more sense and kind of be the final piece to the jigsaw. By moving to WP Films all that would change is the actual name slightly -it would still have the same sort of automomy as a seperate wiki Project but would be better organized . It also wouldn't affect WP India's equal claim to it and the page would include both task bars. OK? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 22:07, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Excellent I'm sure there are many sites people who would be willing to let wikipedia use images. The image taggers seem to think wikipedia is everybody's enemy!! I suggest you contact User:Riana and User:Videmus Omnia. Hope you can work something out Reagrds ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:34, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hero do you think you could add something a bit more to these stubs -surely you have an indication of dates etc. Don't you know how to tag talk pages with the film and Indian cinema tags? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 12:33, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Hero! edit

Just dropped to say that Bollywood has another GA with Preity Zinta:) ShahidTalk2me 19:21, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh that's a good question! Actually my work on the Zinta article has not come to an end yet. I'm gonna nominate it for a A status tomorrow and after getting a Peer review I'll try to get a FA status. Then, I'd like to work on the pages of Rekha, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan etc. Above all, I have Asha Bhosle's and Lata Mageshkar's articles which I want to improve. --ShahidTalk2me 20:02, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Getting hold of images edit

Hi, thanks for doing that! The first thing you need to do is get a proper written statement of permission from them. This can be via e-mail, or it can be a print copy scanned in and sent via e-mail - that's not really a problem. The ideal licenses are GFDL and certain Creative Commons licenses (see commons:COM:L#Acceptable licenses for more info). The copyright holder should sign a specific statement of permission - I've got a good example template at commons:User:Riana/statement, which outlines all the main points reasonably. Once they have signed this they can forward it to you and you can forward it to OTRS - or they can forward it themselves, it's really upto you and them. The e-mail to send things to is permissions@wikimedia.org - an OTRS respondent should pick up the e-mail reasonably quickly. Basically the main things we want to see are (a) the copyright holder understands what the license entails (they own the copyright but do not have exclusive rights to their images anymore - they allow for derivatives to be made, and for commercial usage to be made possible, but credit should be given to them at all times as the original copyright holders); and (b) the content on Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons that the e-mails pertain to (i.e. image links, these are helpful!) Hope that helps - if I've explained anything in a confusing manner (I do a lot of these so I may have left some basic points out) then feel free to ask again. Ciao, ~ Riana 19:48, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'd probably recommend putting it in a subpage of your userspace, eg User:Universal Hero/Image permissions, so that it's somewhere that won't be moved or touched by anyone else. ~ Riana 19:56, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
OK - those are OK but I would prefer to see a pretty explicit statement. The Bollywood Blog guys, for example, thought it would be OK to allow Wikipedia to use the images under a certain free license but had a different license for everyone else - this isn't the sort of thing we can allow. So, could you please ask them to fill out that template above (just copy paste it and send it to them)? Then, when they reply back to you, you can either report back to me or send it off to OTRS. :) ~ Riana 20:08, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
commons:User:Riana/statement - just make sure they replace DOCUMENT with the names of the images (or, as the case may be, 'all images on this site'), name the copyright holder, and specify which license. You can point them towards the licenses we allow. ~ Riana 20:12, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Can you upload the photographic permission here so I can have a look at what it says before advising you any further? ~ Riana 17:57, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
OK, fabulous! That's fine. If you could send an e-mail to permissions@wikimedia.org with that image attached (or linked to) along with any e-mail correspondence you had with the Kollywood Today folks, that'd be great. ~ Riana 18:18, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Created the template here and replied to the mail at OTRS. Thanks for getting hold of that, good work on your part :) ~ Riana 18:37, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Go ahead. Just make sure to substitute that template when you add it, so that it categorises properly. ~ Riana 18:41, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hey - don't paste the text of the template directly! Just type . Cheers ~ Riana 19:19, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Don't worry about it! I would however recommend uploading files under a more distinctive name (eg Name_of_Actor.jpg) because very short names risk getting overwritten by other uploads, plus it's just better for someone trying to follow links through. It's not necessary but it's preferred. If you wish to do that, let me know when you have and I can delete the old files for you. ~ Riana 19:31, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Future films edit

Hi, I saw that you've done some work in the past few months on upcoming films. I thought you might want to take a look at the film notability guidelines, because I've had to AfD several of them. Articles shouldn't be created for films until they have started filming and have a reliable source that can be used to cite the fact in the article. Just wanted to give you a heads up! :) Happy editing, Girolamo Savonarola 03:09, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I responded to your comment on my own talk page (as I usually do). I also have noticed that at least one of the articles which I've brought to AfD just now was re-created by you on the same day it was speedily deleted, without addressing the problems cited. Whatever objections you have with the WP:NF guideline, they need to be brought up there instead of disregarding the matter until an AfD occurs, which could construed as violating WP:POINT. In the meantime, I'd like to ask that you respect the guideline and not continue to create entries which will earn AfD on those grounds, as it is a waste of time that you, I, and the reviewing editors could be spending elsewhere. If you are eager to write these articles anyway, I would suggest doing so within your userspace and continuing to work on them there until they meet WP:NF and can be moved to the mainspace. Many thanks, Girolamo Savonarola 06:30, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

images sources edit

Many of the images you have recently uploaded do not include a direct link to the source image. ie Image:Reema.JPG does not. Can you add one please.

More images edit

How did it work out after were you able to get a license? Another thing can you check out 16 Vayathinile and see if the image is correct or not. Its just it has been removed many times by vandals without a reason and I'm tired of restoring it, but if it is an incorrect image let me know thanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 16:15, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

It seems you got the license great - but please always remember to invlude the link to thr original on the site. It is only fair to them ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 16:17, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

About your future film stubs. If you add some reliable sources this should be OK but I must admit I am also a bit dubious of too many stubs on films in the future particularly if they are not referenced reliably and remember wikipedia isn't a crystal ball. In my experience many stubs on future films never seem to develop much even when they are released. If you can add reliable references to assert notability then there shouldn't be a problem. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 16:54, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Repost of Thotta edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Thotta, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Thotta was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion (or another XfD)

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Thotta, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Speedy deletion of S. Ramakrishnan edit

A tag has been placed on S. Ramakrishnan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD A1.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. MasterXC 15:24, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

S. Ramakrishnan edit

A prod template has been added to the article S. Ramakrishnan, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with db-author. MasterXC 15:34, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello Universal Hero! An article which you created is at AfD. I am curious: (1) did you know about the AfD? (2) did anyone notify you? The official advice is to notify creators. There is a debate running on a noticeboard about whether article creators should be notified by bot when an article is nominated; that's what I'm surveying for. Re: Collaboration edit

Well, thank you for the nice words. It is encouraging. However, I don't quite understand when you say that you have used my template. Maybe you can clarify on this.

Also, I see that you've nominated Anand (2004) for a GA. I wasn't quite sure if my efforts on it would make the cut esp. because of the limited resources for Telugu films.

And yes, I'm a Telugu-speaking editor primarily working in the English Wiki.

Regards, Mspraveen 14:10, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh, is it? Since, I'm a month-old newbie, I know less of the past and I'm just gaining ground in here. Meeting new people and yes, I love collaborations. But, I'm afraid if I'd be active for a month coz I'll be traveling and wouldn't really have great access/time to Wiki.
My aim is primarily improving articles that I've substantial knowledge and/or affinity towards. If I can get any particular article to B-class, I should be okay coz of the limited resources, as I said.

Hello, I was wondering if you can copyedit the Parineeta article. I wanted to nominate it for FA status. If you can spare some time, that'd be great! Hello, how've you been doing? I was going through the GA review of the article and I checked and saw that most of the required edits have been completed. However, I completed the image fair use rationales that I felt was needed. Is there anything else before you nominate it for a GA? Do let me know if you need any assistance in this. Best regards and season's greetings! Mspraveen (talk) 15:31, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sivaji edit

Hello, how've you been doing? Hope you are keeping well. This is about you putting up Sivaji article for nomination.

Firstly, I was waiting to complete my edits on this article and then put it up for nomination. When I finished these edits a couple of days back, I saw that it was already nominated by you. No wonder I did not realize this because you hadn't put the GA nominee template in the article discussion page. Maybe, you can remind yourself of the same the next time around for other articles. Also, maybe it is a good practice to inquire with the currently active editor of that article before nominating one.

Best regards, Mspraveen (talk) 14:48, 11 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello, regarding the same article, I wonder what the image of the silver jubilee function is doing in the article without any relevant context. Unless this is addressed, it will be a serious hindrance to the article's quality or GA assessment. Do you think you come up with the relevant content and add it appropriately? Also, I feel that having the the image sized down to 200px would be better. What say? Best regards, Mspraveen (talk) 13:00, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your nice words. However, if you were to bring the silver jubilee to my attention, I would have written up some content and added the image myself. Maybe, you could have avoided putting up the image in between the reviews making it irrelevant to external editors/reviewers. Don't you think so? :) Anyways, for now, I've corrected this and have a sentence written about it and relocated the image appropriately. Due to the vast popularity of this film, I'm sure at the time when you put this up for a GA nomination, you must have faced a lot of edit wars and junk write up. Now, that when I saw the article to be stable, I began editing this. Using the failed GA notes by User:Elcobbola, I started cleaning up the article.

I hope it passes the GA. My GA charm has been working the first time I work on any nomination. ;) Lets hope for this too this time around. Best wishes and regards, Mspraveen (talk) 14:23, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Anand (2004) edit

In future, please follow the instructions when nominating an article for GA (or FA) status:

How to nominate an article edit

Before nominating, ensure that you are a registered user and have the time to implement changes or clarifications requested by a reviewer.

If you believe an article to be good according to the Good article criteria:

 1. List the article at the bottom of the relevant section below using the syntax: # ArticleName ~~~~ with an edit summary of "Nominating ArticleName"
 2. Add 2024-05-23 to the nominated article's talk page.

It's important to list this on the talk page of the article too.

Thanks

Preity Zinta FA edit

Hi there. The Preity Zinta article has recently achieved A-class status. Due to the wealth of support I have decided to now nominate for an FA class article which I believe and judging by the comments of others is pretty much up to. In my view it is better than some existing FA actor articles. I would therefore be very grateful if you could give it a final review in your own time and leave your comments and views at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Preity Zinta. Thankyou, your comments are always valuable. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 10:57, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

What do you mean, the article says Ponting signed for IPL rather than the ICL. The ICL is for has-beens who have no international future, Ponting would never consider signing for it. --Jpeeling 17:41, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello! edit

You won't believe this. The Preity Zinta article has been listed for Good article reassessment, while all these guys who opposed to its FAC promotion, claimed that it has to be delist. I'm shocked. ShahidTalk2me 09:35, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

That's for you, Universal Hero! For your great efforts to improve Indian cinema articles, especially South Indian ones. Your work is brilliant, and is greatly appreciated, friend:) Congrats! ShahidTalk2me 19:27, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
You deserve that!:) Happy Diwali!!!! I bought the tickets, but the cinema was closed, for some unclear reasons. The first show was canceled. I'll go to the second show tomorrow I guess. Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 19:35, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
It was cancelled, that's only this one, for which I bought the tickets (OSO in Melbourne), but I'll watch tomorrow. They had some technical problem, it was just delayed. That's the first time I see something like this. We've all waited so long. ShahidTalk2me 19:45, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Image:UnnaleUnnale27.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on Image:UnnaleUnnale27.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Long time... edit

How've you been?

No, unfortunately I have no new projects. I've been working on tha Salman Khan article and created a nnumber of articles. Godfrey Phillips Bravery Awards was successfully updated in DYK!:) Waiting for Dwaipayanc to see what's going with the Zinta article. He helps me very much with this article. Now it's a B in two Wikiproject and an A only in one. Quite sad, after months of work.

What about you? Are there some new projects? new GAs? Regards, ShahidTalk2me 22:21, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The best thing you can do is clean up Tamil films of the 1980s etc, Compared to the Bollywood lists they are terrible. These should be important for Tamil film on wikipedia. The films need sorting and putting in order in the tablrd and info on the director or cast added etc. Unfortunately nobody has tended to them yet ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 22:37, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

How come Unnale Unnale did not pass GA? It's a pitty. I was sure it would. I think you should address the concerns raised on the talk page. It's not a big deal. These are very minor problems. ShahidTalk2me 22:41, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Another example of a quality article which is still a B. Surely you proposed it for a GA? ANyway if you could fix the titles for Tamil film of the 1980s like 1990s and 2000s this would make a big difference ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 22:56, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I thought you might have had the decency to respond to me personally seems as I've also helped copy editing your Unnale Unnale article ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:07, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes me too!!! Unfortunately it only appears to be you working on them and they are in a terrible state. I've just added 1980, i think I'll scrap the others and start from scratch. I think these are very important to construct Tamil cinema and get some kind of framework behind them. Eventually we could split them by year and have detailed pages on Tamil film by year but first things first ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:17, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes could you just add all the loose titles on Tamil films of the 1970s to the tables. The info can be added later. I'll be willing to sort out the 80s one. Its more urgent that these pages are cleaned up, particularly as I am aiming for every Tamil film on wikipedia to have the Tamil cinema template eventually connecting to the years in tmail film like Bollywoof. See

♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:29, 16 December 2007 (UTC) ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:29, 16 December 2007 (UTC).Reply

Eventually I'd love to see Tmail pages equally as complete as Bollywood films of 1972. I think its only fair don't you that we try to cover Tamil film ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:31, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I haven't really talked to you before but would like to thank you for reverting vandalism to Deepika Padukone's page. I agree with User:Bollywoodbabe that no fansites on Wikipedia are allowed. But this is only the case in the external links and in this article it is being used as a reference and not an external link. I already talked to the user Talk: Bollywoodbabe but he/she doesn't seem to listen. If you could also have a word with the user, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks Oh by the way nice to meet you. Thank you very much for the compliments but I don't really do as much work as Shahid & Blofeld do. I go around reverting vandalism and expanding some pages but Shahid & Blofeld are excellent editors. They are the reason why our Bollywood pages have improved so much. I really look up to their work!! Looking at your conrtibutions, you also seem to be an excellent editor as well. Your work on Tamil films edit

Hi! I briefly examined some articles on Tamil films, and it looks like you are the main person who is adding English translations of the titles, which is terrific. I wonder if you could do one little thing differently. Instead of using English, which goes to a disambiguation page, please use English. Otherwise I have to disambiguate the links individually (I work on Wikiproject Disambiguation, and one of the things I've taken on is to keep English clear of incoming links). Thanks! Best regards, Tkynerd (talk) 20:21, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Future films edit

Hey, you've probably noticed that I've been proposing a few film articles for deletion. I've accidentally marked a few false positives, as it's not always possible to determine if a film is in production when it's not on IMDb. I was wondering if you could help review some Indian films (as that appears to be your expertise) so I can avoid such mistakes. Would you be interested in that? I don't want to get anything deleted that meets Wikipedia's guidelines. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 17:07, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

You said that you have lifted it to stub status. No you haven't. add stub or similar to it, and the family information to inside the infobox. Thanks for the sources though Jake the Editor Man (talk) 20:58, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

LOL ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:59, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I;m currently creating locator map templates for every country see missing locator maps-Dutch wikipedia did this long ago. This way we can add an infobox and locator coordinates to every country on the planet in the infobox settlement. Even smaller settlements can be polished up with a location maps which i think are extremely useful. SOoner or later I'll continue with film but I'm a bit tied at present. Keep up the good work on those Tamil films!! The Bald One ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 14:05, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

HI can you clean up 123 (film) and find an infobox and image thanks. What wouuld be great is if you could go through the category of tamil films and tack these two templates onto the bottom of every one. Hopefully the lists will develop by year soon enough. I think this is important for Tamil film on wikipedia to have each one connected ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 17:28, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Sivaji edit

Geez! Thanks! Good that an article on Sivaji reached the GA finally! It is a pity that many editors from India seem to indulge in self-vanity/vandalism of articles that are highly popular. I wonder, why everyone doesn't take a subjective look at Wikipedia being an encyclopedia. :) Nevertheless, all is well that ends well. Not to mention my GA charm worked yet again! I'm beginning to believe in charms now! ;) Whats keeping you busy nowadays? Regards, Mspraveen (talk) 05:21, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Quick request edit

In the future, if you could use Film instead of FilmsWikiProject, I'd be very grateful. Although the latter one automatically redirects to the former, it has been deprecated, and we're trying to phase out its usage as task force tagging slowly occurs over the next year or so. Knowing that it's not being added to new articles would put me greatly at ease. Thanks! Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 04:07, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Marmayogi edit

An editor has nominated Marmayogi, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marmayogi and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:29, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unreleased films - Ishaa Koppikar edit

Universal Hero

Sorry if I appear to be a pedantic pain, but the reason I keep reinserting the unreleased films is because it is bona fide information, regardless of whether the films are rumoured or what have you. Look at it from where I'm coming from: I spent a good year looking for all Ishaa's films, Hindi and South Indian, and I went down a lot of garden paths, followed loads of wild goose chases and found tons of red herrings. I wanted to make sure that an Ishaa Koppikar filmography was as complete as possible so that others interested in her films wouldn't suffer the same frustrations as I did. So, let's say someone hears about 'Ek Tha Dil Ek Thi Dhadkhan' and starts trying to find it on dvd or vcd, is it not valid information to say that the film was never released (or never made or whatever)?

Maybe the main text should be edited to reflect the confusion, I don't know.

I have to say I'm a deep shade of green with envy that you met Ishaa. If you see her again, mention my name will you!

Regards Chris —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris750 (talkcontribs) 17:10, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'll take your advice and tidy things up to make the information more precise. I'd edit other things if I had the same knowledge and interest that I've acquired for Ishaa Koppikar. It's finding the time really.
