There are many different things you can do to help out. Watching for vandalism is an important task that any one can easily do. Just start putting articles in your watch list and then check it for changes every now and then. If you see any changes that are vandalism you can undo/revert them. There are even tools to help make this a simple task; the one that I use is Twinkle. Otherwise you can continue looking for stubs and material that are not cited. But instead of just tagging those articles you could try and flesh them out some more. One thing I've done on several occasions is to rewrite entire sections or articles. Sometimes they have good material that is cited but the original author wasn't very fluent in English. I hope this was helpful. If you have any more questions or need some help feel free to ask. November 2007

edit

Jeez, Wikipedia is overwhelming. I can't make heads or tails of where I can be useful. Ultimablah 17:16, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I sincerely apologize; I left my computer on while researching it, and my friend decided to play with the page(I'm working on a school network). This will not happen again, I assure you. --Ultimablah 17:20, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to George Washington, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. sdgjake 14:56, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

The edit that you made to the George Washington page was, in my estimation, vandalism. You changed his birth year to something that was clearly wrong. Now if you discovered some new evidence to challenge all previous records of his birth, then you need to cite your source for this. If it was a good faith edit in that sense then I whole heartedly apologize. But, in my judgment, it was nothing more than simple vandalism; and trying to hide any criticism of said vandalism is pointless. The record of all the changes you make are kept indefinitely. sdgjake 16:24, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
