Speedy deletion nomination of User:USABMXFoundation/sandbox edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:USABMXFoundation/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. –eggofreasontalk 18:28, 5 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Alexf(talk) 18:34, 5 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I tried creating the page without going through the entire process first. There was a lot of reading and digesting of information that I didn't initially understand or do a good job of. I understand that I was blocked for advertising. It was a mistake on my end and it was not my intention to advertise nor to hurt the core values of Wikipedia. I am sorry and it will not happen again. I plan on taking the necessary steps and to create the page correctly next time around. Thank you for understanding .

Decline reason:

What specifically are those necessary steps? You need to tell us so we can be sure you understand and will follow them. I'll warn you, in general it is inappropriate for you to be writing about this organisation. Yamla (talk) 23:39, 7 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Thank you for the prompt reply. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. I now understand that you have to make 10 edits to other pages (not just your own article) and being a member for more than 4 days. I work for the Foundation and wanted to make sure the correct information was up about our non profit. It wasn't my intention to sell anything as we have multiple other avenues to do so. Any other advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a good evening.

Decline reason:

That isn't what Yamla meant. You will need to do the following:

If you have no interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about your organization, then you will not be unblocked. If this is the case, I recommend you consider alternative outlets. You will also need to propose a new username, one that complies with the username policy. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 00:39, 8 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

You may propose a new username and request unblock at the same time by using the following template(copy it when viewing this page and then open the edit window and paste): {{Unblock-un|user=new username|reason=your reason here}} Your username must indicate that an individual is using this account; it need not be your real name, an alias is fine. If you want the name of the foundation in your username, a name in the format of "UsernameChoice of USABMX" would be acceptable. 331dot (talk) 00:42, 8 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
