Your edit edit

Thank you for your interest in editing Wikipedia, Tyvic. Your edit to Dinosaur was successful, but because it was not considered beneficial to the page, the edit has been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment with editing, please use the sandbox instead. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.   Thank you very much!

Modern-day birds are now considered to be descended from dinosaurs, so technically, not all "dinosaurs" became extinct 65–66 million years ago.  Rules of enpagement Paine  17:13, 22 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sl1pg8r edit

Hello Tyvic,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sl1pg8r for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Cotton2 (talk) 17:21, 22 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello Tyvic,

Thank you for your article Sl1pg8r. In order to establish wp:notability an article must be discussed in detail in 3rd party published media, books, newspaper and reliable online sources. See Wikipedia:A_primer_for_newcomers#Reliable_sources. Youtube is not a reliable source, no fact checking there, the game reference is not about Sl1pg8r its about Ark: Survival Evolved and PAX East, 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts references something but what? You haven't given enough information for me to check it out. If Sl1pg8r is really notable find a reference like New York Times, LA Times that discusses Sl1pg8r or some online reference like Wired or some other responsible publisher. As far as other youtube articles go, they should be referenced to the same standard, you can help do that! Best regards, Cotton2 (talk) 17:58, 22 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

I just spent about an hour trying to find reliable sources and came up with quite a few. Tell me what you think! Tyvic (talk) 18:20, 22 August 2016 (EST)

I appreciate your efforts! Please read the primer mentioned earlier for reliable sources. Just any old website is not good enough. Reliable 3rd party published sources Your link to websites that you can purchase items is going to degrade your article, Wikipedia is not a place to promote or advertise a business. I'm going to edit those out. Please read the primer, not properly referenced articles are deleted by the community. Cotton2 (talk) 03:49, 23 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please read... edit

... WP:ENGVAR. Articles that have been written in a variant of English, such as British English, should stay that way. Thank you. - Takeaway (talk) 19:25, 18 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of One Man Hide and Seek edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on One Man Hide and Seek requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. August 2017 edit

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Joseph Garrett. Thank you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 13:53, 3 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Famousbirthdays.com as a source edit

Hi Tyvic. I noticed that you recently used famousbirthdays.com as a source for information in a biography article, Erika Costell. Please note that there is general consensus that famousbirthdays.com does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. (See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 23:29, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
