@Tychay yes... do you receive this twice?  :) – SJ + 20:50, 1 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
@SJ Nope, just once, (just a regular talk page notification). Surprised you got a notification at all because it wasn't in a section edit. -- tychay (tchay@wikimedia) (talk) 20:53, 1 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Truncation edit

"In the future, Flow will grow to encompass all man..." ← this made me smile, just a little. --MZMcBride (talk) 22:09, 15 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

@MZMcBride No sense in overpromising. I'll be happy if we can do User Talk without a major headache. ;-) -- tychay (tchay@wikimedia) (talk) 22:21, 15 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Use of Preview edit

Hi. Tychay. I see you are an experienced editor and have made some wonderful contributions to the English Wikipedia. That having been said, I have Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) on my watchlist and at at least two points today you've gone back through and made several minor edits to clean up your writing. Might I suggest using the "preview" button prior to saving? Many experienced users, including myself, forget about it or think we are much better than the use of such a newbie tool, but boy are we wrong! It helps keep page histories clear, which is important on such pages as the aforementioned due to the level of activity and dialogue. Thank you for being understanding and I hope you have a great day. Killiondude (talk) 05:33, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

@Killiondude: You have a good point. Believe it or not, I actually do use preview before I post (which probably says something about how sloppy a writer I am), but I do make a lot of errors toward the end because scrolling toward my edit in places where I can't section edit. I also use EpochFails gnoming plugin to fix grammar mistakes I find after I post. Having said that, I'm cluttering up the page histories, as you mentioned and probably generating a fair number of edit conflicts so I'll endeavor more careful on such a high traffic page as VPT. Thank you for taking the time to make me aware of my inadvertant messing with your watchlist. - tychay (tchay@wikimedia) (talk) 06:58, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Cache-Aside Pattern moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Cache-Aside Pattern, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~~Cheers~~Mgbo120 18:27, 18 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
