Hi! This is my first time creating a Wikipedia article. I thought I has refenced well enough that the article wouldn't seem bias. Any edits or thoughts on how I can improve the article would be greatly appreciated. Tusker Cars (talk) 10:58, 20 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Tusker Cars

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Tusker Cars, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —Alalch E. 10:54, 20 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 11:04, 20 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

First time using Wikipedia and was unaware that this username would be inappropriate, therefore I am requesting to continue with my name as my username

Decline reason:

Procedural decline since the question was never answered. You will need to answer the question from 331dot below before an unblock would be considered. Seraphimblade Talk to me 09:14, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please note that your username is not the only issue here, please discuss how you will make edits consistent with the conflict of interest policy(which you must have read since you declared a COI). Please also describe the general nature of your COI; if you work for or represent Tusker Cars, the Terms of Use require you to make the stricter paid editing disclosure. 331dot (talk) 15:09, 20 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I understand why I was blocked from posting, it was my first time trying to post an article on Wikipedia. I am trying to create a page for my employers 'Tusker Direct'- not as advertisement, simply to inform users of what the company does. I am happy to disclose my relationship with the company and will ensure when I make edits in the future that they do not hold biases towards the company in any way.

Decline reason:

Looking at the links you provided below, they do not seem to me to establish notability for your company. Most of them are press releases or passing mentions or both (and a mention on a partner's website doesn't count, either). We look for significant independent coverage in reliable sources, or, in the case of corporations, things like being publicly traded on a major exchange etc. (which usually, of course, means you'll get that coverage without really trying). Basically, if the BBC or The Times (not only them, of course) did a story all or in significant part about you, we would write an article. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:40, 2 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

While you await an admin to review your appeal, I will let you know that Wikipedia is not a business directory, so a company is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of a company, it must meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations. For this to happen, the company must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. We have no interest in what a company wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:43, 2 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I have collected documents which highlight significant coverage of the company- such as through newspapers and reliable sources - e.g. Banks and Investment Companies. For example:

I still haven't been accepted to post again - do you know anything about the timeline of this or someone I can contact to help. Tusker Cars (talk) 09:25, 12 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
