Welcome! edit

Hello, Tuh16890, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Image edit

Hi! I can't remember if we'd already discussed this, but I noted that you wanted to change the image for Lisa Nakamura. Keep in mind that we can only upload images that are in the public domain or released under a compatible Creative Commons license. From what I can see, both sites listed in your sandbox use a restrictive copyright that would prohibit it from being uploaded. Wikipedia's fair use policy for images only covers things like company logos or book covers. Images of people don't fall under the fair use guideline. As such, we're typically limited to either images we take ourselves or are uploaded to places like Flickr with a compatible Creative Commons license. This page in my userspace covers what copyrights can be uploaded. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:38, 15 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
