License tagging for Image:Litigant.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Litigant.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:06, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

Vincent Salafia

edit

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia!

You may have noticed that your article on Vincent Salafia has been proposed for deletion. You can view the reasons and recommendations so far here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vincent Salafia.

You are welcome to comment on that page too, if you believe there is something we should take into account when deciding whether to keep or delete the article. At this time there is no indication that your article will in fact be deleted, it was simply listed there for debate about whether the subject is notable or not.

It has been suggested that the article is in fact an autobiography by you. While this is not against Wikipedia policies, it is usually not recommended that you write your own article. Check WP:AUTO for more information. If you do anyway, it is particularly important to observe the policy on Neutral Point Of View.

You are welcome to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions etc. about this.

Hi again, thanks for responding on my talk page. You can email me through WikiEmail if you wish, here: Special:Emailuser/Horsten. Please remember to sign your entries on talk pages with ~~~~, this will expand to your username and the date when you save your edit. I don't think your Vincent Salafia article should be deleted and I have also commented to that effect on it's deletion page. Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia, don't get the wrong impression and think that it is not appreciated just because you happened to get involved in a controversial article deletion debate. Welcome to the AMA!

edit

Welcome to the AMA - it's good to have you onboard :-). As part of our plans to ensure that those requesting help get what they need, and to soften the learning curve, we ask new advocates, like yourself, to take an account in tandem with a more experienced Wikipedia advocate. This can help you to get a better understanding of policy and how to deal with the difficult people we sometimes have to deal with. When you're ready to take a case, will you let me know on my talk page, and I'll try to either find a case with an advocate willing to co-advocate with you, or you can choose a case, and I'll find another advocate to fit it (if this makes sense!). Best of luck, -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk·Review Me!) 21:01, 23 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

note about today

edit

I don't know if you saw Frank's talk page but it was referring to me today and that was one of the reasons I was concerned today. He was saying I am saying he passes off and so forth. I haven't been talking about his band since after disambiguation began (I did get stressed out before disambiguation when I first saw what had been going on). I have in the past two weeks just made edits and tried to talk to him directly in private a while to get help with doing the articles, and tried to understand what his point of view was but didn't get a lot of info from him. I mentioned that previously but you don't read what I write, you just call it "arguing" and accuse me of things instead of cooling temperatures down lately.

As a bit of advice, can I suggest that you try making your cooling down period requests without including accusations in them?

That will work much better with people in your future work witih AMA. Attacking people, chastising and blaming them is not the work of a mediator.

Could you please be friendlier? This is stressful to me and I have told you that. This is not a lawsuit, please save that hat for your work. I have had a major loss in my family a month ago and this is creating stress that may cause me to have to go to a doctor for blood pressure reasons tomorrow. I am not on trial; we are trying to get articles done right and I have said fine to whatever people want to do. But I did get some malicious things removed and I understand totally about not wanting to harm anyone's reputation; that was one of my concerns too when I tried to help. Before I quit editing articles a couple of days ago because I only had limited time to do this I made sure to revert edits I saw where frank's band and Hamri had previously been removed from a village article and I felt that was ridiculous and put them back in. I have tried to do things fair. I don't care what else is done to the articles. I worked hard on them and you did not so please be kinder to people who worked hard here. Emerman 04:20, 26 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please restrict this discussion to the agreed forum where it is taking place, and respect the request for a 'cooling down period'. Tuathal 04:30, 26 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Request for Comment on article

edit

I added a section at the talk page for Request for Comment, a process I barely understand. My understanding is that you would add your view of how things should be below my comment and could put an asterisk to indent the same way I did. I really don't know how these things are resolved nor am I very familiar with RfC. It is just a way of stating views. Respectfully, Emerman 15:26, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Jonesnote.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Jonesnote.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 04:33, 11 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
