Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Tripp523 reported by User:Alf.laylah.wa.laylah (Result: ). Thank you. — alf laylah wa laylah (talk) 18:42, 21 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

It is User:Alf.laylah.wa.laylah who is participating in Edit Warring; said user is also in violation of remaining neutral. He has deleted information and replaced it with biased information. Read his edits in the following articles. Said user replaced an external link to http://scisa.org/ with a link to a biased article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Carolina_Independent_School_Association.

Said user has violated The three-revert rule numerous times, and then made false accusations against me. He was warned about this, but then he had me blocked after he/she was warned. Said user is also in violation of being biased.

User:Alf.laylah.wa.laylah seems to have no interest or affiliation with the entity of the article in question, and the edits by said user seem more intent on maleficent than information. Also, you need to investigate said users edits in the following pages:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Segregation_academies
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Charleston_Collegiate_School&action=history

Compare said users edits with that of the official school website and the Wikipedia article about said school before and after User:Alf.laylah.wa.laylah's edits.

Your use of multiple Wikipedia accounts

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Tripp523, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

I have added an extra two days to the block on this account because you have continued the edit war while logged out. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 06:34, 22 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

This is a false accusation; you will be held legally accountable for your accusations and actions. ~Tripp523

Proof of violation is required before accusations are made. Tripp523 (talk) 17:16, 22 March 2014 (UTC)Tripp523.Reply

I have been falsely accused. Word is spreading by the people who are actually associated with Charleston Collegiate School about the hijacking of the page by User:Alf.laylah.wa.laylah, and others are responding to his labeling of this school and his removal of actual information.

  • Interesting. All Alf's warnings have been signed. The fact that he has "no interest or affiliation" with the school, as you note above, obviously makes him a lot less likely to be "in violation of being biased" than those who are affiliated with it. (Compare the conflict of interest policy, but common sense should tell you the same.) That's apart from the fact that Alf's edits are sourced to reliable third-party sources (not to the school's own promotional website). I note also your suggestive last sentence "Word is spreading by the people who are actually associated with Charleston Collegiate School about the hijacking of the page", etc. Are you aware of the rule against recruting people for the purpose of coming to Wikipedia and agreeing with you? See this policy.
Nobody likes being blocked, and a certain amount of venting on talkpages is expected, but if you go on attacking Alf, or make any more legal threats (click on that link, if you click on nothing else!), I will remove your talkpage access for the duration of the block.
