Legendary creatures edit

Hi there - Just thought you should know that, while the category for {{legendary-creature-stub}} was created (by you?), the stub template was not, and it should be soon or the category might be nominated for deletion. Let me know if you need help creating it. Cheers, Her Pegship 15:24, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pictures edit

Unfortunately, Image:Bumpassvirginia.JPG had to be deleted because it was released under an invalid license. Wikipedia cannot use images that are by permission only, nor can it use non-commercial images. If you own the copyright to this image and are willing to release it under a free license, such as the GFDL, please do so. Otherwise, it cannot be hosted on Wikipedia. Commercial use of Image:Bumpass-sign.jpg edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Bumpass-sign.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Bumpass-sign.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Bumpass-sign.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 12:50, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Fearsome Creatures of the Lumberwoods, With a Few Desert and Mountain Beasts edit

I have nominated Fearsome Creatures of the Lumberwoods, With a Few Desert and Mountain Beasts, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fearsome Creatures of the Lumberwoods, With a Few Desert and Mountain Beasts. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Non-free rationale for File:Bunyan McBride.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bunyan McBride.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:25, 21 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Report errors here.

Orphaned non-free image File:Bunyan McBride.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bunyan McBride.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:10, 22 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for May 10 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Paul Bunyan in popular culture, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Callback (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your draft article, User:Tripodero/Paul Bunyan in promotion and popular culture edit

Hello Tripodero. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Paul Bunyan in promotion and popular culture".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Tripodero/Paul Bunyan in promotion and popular culture}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 18:01, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm proposing the Barnstar of the Week edit

I'm proposing the Barnstar of the Week as a way to promote Barnstars. What you have to do is place this code on your userpage or talk page: {{User:Peter SamFan/Barnstar of the Week}} and you'll get User:Peter SamFan/Barnstar of the Week, which I will update every week. (I didn't post the template on the talk page: You have to click the link) Thoughts? (I also put this on the WikiProject Wikipedia Awards talk page.) Disambiguation link notification for August 21 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Snallygaster, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page South Mountain. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
