Region = neutral term. This term ("region") is then explained - i.e. region has govt that has declared independence from a nation that considers the "region" to be a part of its nation. Okay? Would you mind reading and, perhaps, participating in some of the discussions going on at the respective talk pages of those two articles? There seems to be a consensus as to the legal status of Kosovo and your edits are contrary to the wishes of the Wikipedia community. Please discuss your reasons for making these changes.
