February 2008 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Tim Sylvia. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Gromlakh (talk) 00:27, 7 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to UFC 84, you will be blocked from editing. Gromlakh (talk) 15:50, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Seriously? edit

You were just blocked not two days ago for disruptive editing on UFC 84, with your constant adding of unsourced matches being the reason. Your block has barely even expired, and now I find you not only engaging in exactly the same type of disruptive behavior that got you blocked before, but actually doing it with the same unsourced information.

I've repeatedly pointed you towards information about citing sources; I can only conclude at this point that you're willfully ignoring it. You were warned that you were being disruptive by continuing to post apparently fake matchups without any sources; the vandalism warnings did nothing to convince you to stop. Now you're doing it again mere hours after the expiration of your block. I will not warn you again; if you continue to engage in this type of disruptive behavior I'm going to request a permanent block on your account for being used only for vandalism. Gromlakh (talk) 23:09, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

First, cite sources. The standard for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. If you cannot cite to a reliable source to verify the information, it is not to be included at all. "I heard it somewhere" and "many sites confirm this" is not enough. Furthermore, the pages you have been editing have a very prominent warning at the beginning of the "Announced Matches" section warning against adding rumors and unsourced matches; you should pay attention to such warnings before editing the pages.
As to Thiago Silva's page, just because other stuff exists on Wikipedia does not justify making the same mistake elsewhere. That page was not on my watchlist previously, I've now added it and reverted the unsourced info about the Evans fight.
I believe the admins have declined to block you at this time because of your apology. I am in support of that decision, but this disruptive behavior from you cannot continue. I hope you have learned from this and will become a productive editor. I don't like recommending people for permanent blocks. Gromlakh (talk) 02:17, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

April 2008 edit

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to UFC 85. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you.
