Speedy deletion nomination of User:Traducteurwiki

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Traducteurwiki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - RichT|C|E-Mail 13:47, 21 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from fr:Marcel Courmes to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. For example: Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk pages of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, please add attribution retrospectively for that also, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. asilvering (talk) 01:47, 4 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

I've already added a note so there's nothing you need to do here. But I gather from your username that you plan to do many more translations, so don't forget to add this in the edit summary of your first edit in the future! By the way, you might be interested in joining WP:FRANCE. -- asilvering (talk) 01:51, 4 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and WP:MILHIST, if you're specifically interested in military topics/biographies. -- asilvering (talk) 01:52, 4 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your contributions to Maurice Delage (soldier). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boleyn (talk) 09:08, 7 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Amédée-François Lamy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alger. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi @Traducteurwiki: How goes it. There is been a no page numbers tag on this article you wrote since May. Are you planning to add page to article. If not I plan to send it back to draft. It is certainly notable but no page makes it virtually useless for the reader and breaks WP:V. scope_creepTalk 18:02, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

The references are adequate (but would benefit from development). SeeWP:RSUE and WP:SOURCEACCESS.--AntientNestor (talk) 06:29, 30 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I ran out of time but I plan to complete this page if necessary but Why send it back to draft? It has been accepted and now all Wikipedians can improve it (including me of course) Thanks AntientNestor. Cyou Traducteurwiki (talk) 18:12, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Concur: the minor shortcomings in referencing certainly do not warrant a return to draftspace. To quote from instructions to AFC reviewers when considering an article for mainspace: "Avoid declining an article because the references contain bare URLs or other reference formatting problems."
