Dodder tributaries edit

Even if the result is to delete Muckross Stream, the verifiable aspects of the article at least could be incorporated into River Dodder#Tributaries. RashersTierney (talk) 20:13, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

More on Muckross Stream edit

I don't want you to get discouraged if Muckross Stream should be deleted. At this point, the main problem is original research. The changes you made to the article vastly improved it, in my opinion. Please review the WP:NOR so this doesn't happen again. As RashersTierney points out, this information would be very useful in the Dodder River article, even if this article is deleted. So, let's try to rescue the article. You have a lot of information in this article. Did all of it come from the one map page, or do you have other sources? Is there a nearby, local historical society that might be able to help, or perhaps a college with a collection of local history (assuming you're near the area of this article). You also might contact the WikiProjects that I placed on the article's talk page and ask for help. Perhaps they have sources. Again, I don't want you to get discouraged. You have done nothing "wrong" and I think you have a lot to offer Wikipedia. 78.26 (talk) 03:20, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Up Until Now edit

How do I get the article back so that I can start again. I can also get some photographs of part of the stream that is still overground and not culvert'd. Thanks

Tradmusicman (talk) 23:37, 17 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I moved the discussion since that is an archived page and shouldn't be changed! If you want to restart a new article, do this with the our article wizard and follow all steps! You will get a review by an experienced editor and he/she will accept or decline your article. The declined article won't be deleted and you will get another (or as many as you might need) chance to improve it! Regards, mabdul 16:06, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
You could ask at User talk:Wizardman for the info to be applied at User:Tradmusicman/Muckross Stream where you can work on it. Still think it would be more appropriately included at the Dodder article. RashersTierney (talk) 18:46, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Muckross Stream edit

{{adminhelp}}

Hello Rashers, can you tell me how do I retrieve the article on the Muckross Stream so that I can re-start it again for submission. The main body of the article should be ok, and I will endeavor to locate a source. I will base it on the same format as the River Camac which is already listed as a tributary of the Dodder. I can also provide photographic evidence of its existance as part of the stream is still overground in the grounds of Muckross College, Donnybrook, Dublin 4

Kind Regards Tradmusicman (talk) 18:29, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Per request I posted a notice so and admin hopeful userfies the deleted article for you. Regards, mabdul 18:47, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have restored and moved the article to User:Tradmusicman/Muckross Stream.  Frank  |  talk  19:01, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

What did you think about the deletion notice you received? edit

Hi Tradmusicman,

In November you received a message about either "Nomination for deletion" or "Proposed deletion" of an article you created. I'd like to ask you a few quick questions:

  1. Was the message helpful? Were the instructions clear and easy to follow?
  2. If not, how do you think the message could be improved?
  3. What do you think about the deletion process in general? Do you understand how to contest a deletion?

You can feel free to answer on my talk page or send me your response by email (mpinchuk wikimedia.org). (I won't quote you or link your answers to your username if you don't feel comfortable with that.) Your feedback is incredibly useful for improving the content of deletion notifications, so please take a minute to think about and answer these questions. Thank you!
