The Brady Bunch, and the term "jumped the shark"

Your edits here and your reinsertion after I had reverted them are appreciated. But note what I said in the edit summary when I reverted after the first time you made the change. I am under the impression you do not completely understand what jumped the shark is - it is a broad-based concept, broader than simple insertion of characters into a show that's slumping in the ratings. And if you had read the entire paragraph you were editing, I wonder if you saw the term in the preceding sentence; you are essentially making a redundant claim by putting the term in a second time. The original text, and term, "Cousin Oliver" is also mentioned under List of The Brady Bunch characters#Cousin Oliver as "Cousin Oliver syndrome", which is a specific case of "jumped the shark" where they add younger characters to a show due to an aging original cast in order to regain appeal of their audience. There was nothing wrong with that original text, and it states the claim more clearly then two mentions of "jumped the shark" in consecutive sentences. If you disagree with how I see things here, please reply to this or on my talk page; unless you explain your rationale behind the edit, I have to deem it unconstructive/disruptive, and you may receive warnings next time. WP:BLPPRIVACY

Hi there, I'm not sure how you missed it, considering you edited around it twice [1][2], but there was a very obvious embedded note in the |birth_date= parameter of the Infobox at Mary Jo Catlett instructing users that per WP:BLPPRIVACY, birthdates must be sourced and widely published. With identity theft a serious ongoing concern, people increasingly regard their full names and dates of birth as private. Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object. Please be sure to provide references from reliable sources when you add birthdates for living persons. Much obliged. Note that IMDb is not considered a reliable source. (WP:RS/IMDB, WP:RS, WP:TVFAQ)

Also, since I'm noticing a pattern in your edit history of multiple attempts to make what are generally not complicated edits, I need to encourage you to please use the Show Preview button (located right next to Save Page) so you can work out the bugs in your contributions before saving them to an article. In these edits [3][4][5][6], Show Preview would have helped you spot mistakes like the unresolved wikilinks in the first three edits.

That would not be sufficient. All content at Wikipedia needs to come from reliable sources that have a reputation for fact-checking, like magazines, newspapers, books, television news shows, medical journals, etc. Google is a search engine. You cannot use Google search results as a reference because as I said above, we need information to come from publications like the ones in my list—publications with reputations for fact-checking.
