You are actively promoting a the rejected subject of an article you proposed across multiple articles here on Wikipedia. We call that spamming. Rklawton (talk) 21:40, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest edit

Given your relationship to the person you have attempted to use Wikipedia to promote, you should thoroughly familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. You must appreciate our position that this is an encyclopedia anyone can edit and not a free resource for promoting people, organizations, or agendas. Rklawton (talk) 22:30, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Reliable sources edit

Most of the websites you have used to verify the claims made for the subject of your article are "self published" and are therefore not considered reliable. Please review our policies regarding WP:RS reliable sources. Also please include the full URL to the information you wish to cite. Rklawton (talk) 22:42, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Spamming edit

When you post information promoting a person and his works across many articles - that's spamming - regardless of whether or not the subject in question is notable enough for an article. For all I know, he is notable enough for an article. Note also, that the fact that something exists (like a song) does not mean it's worth including in an article. Your pattern of edits is clearly an attempt to promote a person to whom you are related, and that's just not appropriate, and you really shouldn't need us to tell you that. Seriously - what if everyone started doing what you did - Wikipedia would quickly become useless, and if you spend a minute thinking about it, you'd see that for yourself. Spamming edit

I do not understand. These are all references to historical ballads and can be easily verified. I did include the writer's names. My article about Bucky Halker is under review. I do not understand why you rejected it. Can you please explain? I am not a spammer and I am insulted that you would characterize me as such. I spent a lot of time on these edits. They are all legitimate. Please advise. Toni Halker Tonigirl60640 (talk) 22:08, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of Interest edit

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. I did not "actively promote" him as you claim. I simply mentioned in my edits that there were historical songs about certain events, the author of the songs, who recorded them and that he also recorded them. I did not reference a website or anything. The songs are published with the LIbrary of Congress. I only mentioned his name. I did not know that since his article was rejected that his name could not be mentioned as well. Further, the websites included, www.woodygurthrie.org is not monitored by me. In fact, I have nothing to do with it and no access. I have seen listings for individual's websites in your listings as well as references to Amazon.com Why are these allowed? Simply because you individiually may not know of him does not mean that others have not. Please advise. Tonigirl60640 (talk) 22:54, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Spamming edit

So what you are really saying, is that fact that all of these posts were done in a short time period, you say it is spamming.

Why, then did you deny the article on him in the beginning? Everything stated was fact. I have seen many articles that are clearly self promotion by artists, including references to websites and Amazon.com CD listings. I simply mentioned there were recordings and did it all in two days. I did not include a website or anything, just existence of the songs - all of which he did not write and authors were listed accordingly.

I am insulted. I did not spam. You are wrong.

Why was the article turned down? It only mentions his credentials and his existence. Why is this inappropriate? I have seen articles on much lesser known artists than he. Tonigirl60640 (talk) 23:39, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Spamming edit

Further, accusing me of spamming is libel. Please retract it and the fact that you listed me as being on a spamming spree. It is insulting and inaccurate. By the way, I am a lawyer so I do know of what I preach. Tonigirl60640 (talk) 23:45, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
