working for ducktv and the wiki page was outdated, hence why I edited the text about company information Tomas DuckTV (talk) 10:39, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

please inform me what was edited wrongly or against the policy so I may correct the mistake. Obviously you see I made only few edits as I am completely new to wiki editing, but would welcome additional explanation in order for me to understand better. The only reason editing information for our company is to make it more up to date and supply Wiki with more accurate information. Please let me know and I will be happy to change the edit. Please read this information in the links Yamla has provided above (I would add that WP:COPYVIO is also relevant here). You cannot use Wikipedia as a promotional platform for your company. If you do not think that what you added (copied directly from your company's own website, no less) was promotional, then you have been working in marketing for too long. Ok, thank you for your information. I understand a little more about the issue, a part from your remark about my marketing skills. Does this mean I will be blocked from now on so I do not have a chance to improve my further edits?

As per Wiki: As a new contributor, you may feel a little overwhelmed by the sheer size and scope of this project. Don't worry too much if you don't understand everything at first, as it is acceptable to use common sense as you go about editing. We encourage you to be bold in a fair and accurate manner

Common sense would tend to dictate that posting reams of marketing material from a company website into an encyclopedia isn't likely to be well-received. If you'd like to write about something other than DuckTV, you are free to request an unblock. If the only reason you're here is to write about your company, then yes, you will be blocked from now on. Yunshui, have read few articles in the mean time, know bit more now and feel sorry I did not read the info before posting. I have made a mistake and will have to be careful in the future.
