Your signature is rather long; it takes up four lines. Signatures aren't exceed 250 characters, which yours does. Don't get me wrong, I think it's nice, but I'd recommend shortening it.--SUIT 22:12, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I'll do it right away! Thank you for pointing it out. Hmm.. I thought it was less... Kyo cat(T)(C) 22:13, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, it's a bit shorter... See the length section since it's still kind of long--SUIT 22:30, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
This better? If not, I'll find a way to make it shorter. Thank you. Kyo cat(Talk) 22:33, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, that's better, three lines isn't that bad.--SUIT 22:34, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Can I ask why you altered my comment in this AfD[1]? Was it a mistake? If so no worries, but if it was intentional I would really like to know your reasoning as editing others comments is not a very nice thing to do. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 22:23, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Note It turns out this was a misunderstanding due to a common bug in the software where edit conflicts are not caught. This user did not change my comments. Sorry for the trouble. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 22:31, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

  Esperanza Barnstar
I, Sasuke-kun27, award you with the Esperanza Barnstar. You demonstrate the qualities of a true Esperanzian: you're kind, funny, you know how to cheer up users when they are feeling down, you are part of the Barnstar Brigade (or were since it was deleted) and you've given out plenty of barnstars to deserving users. What more can I say? You had this one coming (and I wouldn't mind getting one of my own someday). Congradulations! // Sasuke-kun27 03:33, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, it did kinda of cheer me up, considering I know very little about Wikipedia before August of 2005. And I was thinking of a WikiBreak, chances are I'd be back on Wikipedia in less than 10 hours. But I probaly will slow down my edits a bit. Semi-WikiBreak maybe... oh and thanks for the comment on my user name, it was the first thing that I ever searched on Wikipedia... very lovely user page btw.--IAMTHEEGGMANΔdark side 17:26, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Regarding vandal 24.186.198.56

edit

Just to inform you (since you've also reverted some of User_talk:24.186.198.56's pointless vandalism) that 24.186.198.56 has been blocked. By the way, does your username have any relation to Kyo in the anime Fruits Basket? =) –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 17:48, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I saw the post on his talk page. Thanks a lot for helping to block n=him. And yes, Kyo cat is based on Kyo Sohma! :p Heh heh, see, my userpage is orange! And I loooove Kyo! Originally, I planned to have my username Kyo the cat, but it was too late.....you like Fruits Basket? Kyo catmeow! 17:52, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yup, I do - I've read the mangas, and watched the anime. I wish there was a second series of the anime, though... It was really good. I'm born in the year of the horse, but I'm not sure whether I like Isuzu or not. =P –- kungming·2 (Talk) | Review 00:11, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I was born year of the rooster (Kureno-san!) but I wish I was born year of the cat ;). I have finally completed my manga collection, and am waiting for vol. 15 to come out! Seen the anime, too! That darn Isuzu, why does she have to be with Hatsuharu? Wahh...anyway, good to see that there are other Fruits Basket fans out there. I suggest you see the anime section anime and manga userboxes in my created userboxes; you may be interested! If you have any requests for Fruits Basket userboxes, I will be happy to make them! P.S. It's on my userpage under subpages. Kyo catmeow! 00:17, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
That's great! Of course, I have too many userboxen on my page now (way too many), but I'll be sure to ask for your designing skills in the future! –- kungming·2 (Talk) | Review 18:28, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Some IP vandal has been removing content, and if you don't mind, could you help me out here? I've already reverted the page about 3 times, and I'd rather not break the 3 revert rule, so could you watch it for a bit? Thanks.--SUIT 06:34, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

edit

I'll just tweak some more if you don't mind.  The Transhumanist   04:22, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Go right ahead, but please do not modify the background color of the user page. Orange is my favorite color! Kyo catmeow! 04:25, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
okay nevermind, change the colors if you like. Kyo catmeow! 04:30, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, how's that? Is it done yet, or is there anything else you would like? I'm in the process of constructing a page on user page design. It's not finished yet (by a long shot), but there are lots of things on there already to choose from, if you want to take a look. It's at: User:The Transhumanist/Userpage design.  The Transhumanist   05:15, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, there are a few more things, but I'll notify you when I'm ready to tell you. I'd like to look through your userpage design thingie. While I'm doing that, do me one more favor: add yourself to my Wikipals userbox section! I think there's a link to it on my sub pages, just edit the userbox page by adding a userbox under your name. Thank you so much, it's a beautiful design! Once again I'll notify you when I would like more changes. Should I do that on your talk page or on mine? Kyo catmeow! 05:23, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
On my talk page, that way I'll be notified when the message is posted.  The Transhumanist   12:28, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'd like my page to look a little bit like this. See how the pic of the day is in the center and the forst thing on the page? That's how I'd like it, except I'd like that little Kitten that I have to be in place of that. And if possible, do you think you could change the header of the user page? Just like the one on Firefox's page. But I'd still like you to keep all that you did. Just what I mentioned above is what I'd like. Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. I think I'll go to bed know..... one again, gracias...Kyo catmeow! 06:23, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'll look into it.  The Transhumanist   12:28, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
P.S. I have a question on the user skin thing on the Userpage design. Is that just for the userpage, or for the entire appearance of wikipedia? Kyo catmeow! 06:23, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Either or both.  The Transhumanist   12:28, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Assume good faith.

This revert of yours, [2], is summarized as "rv v". The guy was clearly not vandalising the page. Please WP:AGF and WP:BITE. –Gunslinger47 05:22, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, if you saw the invisible notice in the edit page, it says to not change the spelling of the "Bount". He obviously ignored it. If I offended you or the person who edited the Bount word, please excuse me. And by the way, I do assume good faith. I've read those policies, too. About the rv v summary, I dodn't know I used that summary. The drop down thingie came out, and I guess i accidentally chose "rv v". Thank you for notifying me, though. I've realized my mistake. To use a smiley, just type in {{smi|n}} wherever you want it to go. Instead of "n" type in the number of the smiley you want to appear. The footer is programmed to stay at the bottom of the page. In addition to the footer, I've also integrated your page border with the menu in its template. That allows the footer to appear inside the border. Cheers. Okay, I'm not sure what you were referring to on FireFox's page "header", so I installed all the stuff at the very top of his page onto yours, with some modifications.

The way the status thingy works is you check in and out by changing editing your status page (I blue-linked it to make it easy). Once you've used a couple settings, all you have to do is revert that page whenever you log in or log off.

Aww...Congratulations on reaching the big 1,000! This is always the most fun mark to achieve since it is the first. Do not worry that your mainspace is only 300, it will get there and in my opinion having 300 out of a 1,000 is just supurb. It is close to being a third (but it isn't), just quit worring about your userpage and get out there and have fun building an encyclopedia with your friends! Claymore (manga)

edit

Hi. Just a note on copyediting: all contractions should be replaced with the full words—e.g., "can't"→"cannot", "didn't"→"did not." Also, "reverted back" can be replaced with "reverted" without loss of meaning. I am done copyediting Claymore for the day; I have got as far as Noel in the Characters section. I will clear up those problems as I encounter them. Rintrah 05:35, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much for the tips. And thanks for helping edit Claymore as well. I'll start again later. --Kyo cat¿Qué tal?meow! 17:41, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your edits are good. If you miss anything, hopefully I will take care of it — or someone after me. Anyway, I have another tip: the first sentence of each character section should contain the name of the character, and not merely "he" or "she". You are right to capitalise "Claymore". "Awoken" should also be capitalised because it is a name.

Some of the grammar also needs correction, but I cannot think of any simple, general advice on it.

I was too tired to do any work on it today.

If you need help on anything, leave a message on my talk page. Rintrah 10:09, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh no, it's quite all right. I'm not saying you have to work on it every time you log in. Whenever you can. I'm really glad to be in the League of Copyeditors  ! But anyways, thanks a lot for giving me valuable tips! I think I might work on it today   Heh heh... Kyo cat¿Qué tal?meow! 23:55, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have quickly scanned through some of the article. I am very, very hungry now and can't do any work, so I will give you advice on how to correct parts of it. Many sentences have some form of "to be" (i.e., is, was, etc.) as the main verb when the action is really implied by another verb or noun. Take this for example, "Noel was in continuous competition with Sofia to decide who is Claymore #3." It is really saying Noel competes with Sofia, but makes the main verb "was".

Some of the sentences are colloquial too, like: "In volume 9, her idea of saying "hi" to Claire after a while involves taking a sword swing at her which didn't sit well with Jean." It needs to be written more formally.

I have seen some sentences which could be changed from Passive to Active voice. Anyway, good luck. Rintrah 03:50, 5 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

You have no idea how happy I am to be receiving such grand tips from you. I'm seeing my mistakes now, and I can see this article will take a long time to finish. I've changed the first names instead of using "he" and "she" like you said. Thanks for the tips! Kyo cat¿Qué tal?meow! 05:02, 5 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I did another copyedit, so I thought I should advise you on another principle of copyediting. It is best to cut out unnecessary words from a sentence. Extra words sometimes clarify ideas or add elegance, but most often they do not improve sentences. This is an example from the article:

Helen is #22, and at the time of the mission, she is at her first experience with a bulimic.

Her specialty is being able to stretch her arms to extreme lenghths like rubber, even able to bind an opponent. She is on friendly terms with Denev.

In the beginning, Helen mocks Claire ,referring to her as "the weakest and worst out of all of us Claymores" to Raki. Eventually she shows a new form of respect towards Claire on seeing her performance against the bulimic.

Helen is a bit short tempered. In volume 9, her idea of saying "hi" to Claire after a while involves taking a sword swing at her which didn't sit well with Jean. Luckily it was quickly resolved by Denev whom labeled Helen "always the troublemaker".

Helen is also considered to be partially awakened but was able to revert back to her human state.

(I am very tired so my advice might not be as good this time.)

This is what I would do on my first try:

"at the time of her first mission" - does not make sense (there is no context). I would remove it.

"she is at her first experience with a bulimic." - awkward. I would put it: "In her first mission, she encounters a bulimic."

"She is on friendly terms with Denev." - low register. I would say: "She and Denev are friends.", which is more direct.

"In the beginning, Helen mocks Claire ,referring to her as "the weakest and worst out of all of us Claymores" to Raki." - "In the beginning" does not refer clearly enough to what it is really saying, which is really "Early in the story" or "Shortly after becoming a Claymore" (I do not know what the author is really saying; but let us assume the former.) The comma followed by "referring to her as" gets in the way and can be shortened. So I would put it: 'Early in the story Helen mocks Claire to Raki as "the weakest and worst out of all us Claymore".

"Eventually she shows a new form of respect towards Claire on seeing her performance against the bulimic." - "she shows a new form of respect towards Claire" is a roundabout way of saying, "her esteem of Claire grows" or, less formally, "her respect of Claire grows". "on seeing her" should be either "after seeing her" or "because she sees her". I would put it: "Eventually, her esteem of Claire grows after she sees her performance against a Bulimic."

"Helen is a bit short tempered." - too informal for an encyclopedia. "Helen has a short temper." is fine.

"In volume 9, her idea of saying "hi" to Claire after a while involves taking a sword swing at her which didn't sit well with Jean." - far, far too chatty. It should be something like "In volume 9, she swings her sword at Claire and thus displeases Jean."

"Helen is also considered to be partially awakened but was able to revert back to her human state." - there is no reason for "also"; so I would remove it. "considered to be" is a pleonasm; "considered" is better. I would also remove "was" because it is not needed. This is how I would correct it: "Helen is considered partially awakened, but able to revert to her human state."

That is probably what I would do on my first try. I would probably read it again and change anything I saw fit and then press "Save page".

Thank you

Thanks for the lion, he was beautiful in a poetic way :P Also thanks for the support you have given me. It seems that I owe people too much and have no way to repay them. Don't mentiom it. I love to help people smile in their time of stress. I hope your future holds happiness and joy. And by the way, did you really like the lion and the poem thingie? Kyo cat¿Qué tal?meow! 01:09, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I did. I love animals (well, not most insects, I'm okay with them but I don't love them) and the lion, to me, was a symbol of purity, a sign of hope. Fredil 01:12, 6 December 2006 (UTC) P.S.: What's with the smilies?Reply
Igh, I'm afraid of all insects on the face of this earth. The smilies? I think they look cute! Kyo cat¿Qué tal?meow! 01:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I reviewed a few of your edits and noticed something peculiar: You changed "who" to "whom" when "who" was the correct word. "who" is the same case as "I", "he", "she", "whom" is the case of "me", "him", and "her". If the former case is correct, as in "who will eat me?" ("he will eat me"), "who" is the correct word. Likewise for "whom" in the latter case — "whom shall I eat?". Rintrah 14:32, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh, crap, sorry about that. I was doing some language arts homework whil I was editing, looking up from time to time to see something to edit. Guess I made a screw up. Sorry 'bout that. Grah....I should pay attention next time.....Kyo cat¿Qué tal?meow! 22:49, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi kyo cat! I have a question regarding a userpage change for me. I have recently created a new page which can be found here it is not 100% done but it is close. Which do you like my old userpage or my New one. This decision may come down to you! So pick wisely. Cheers! — Seadog 22:57, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wow, that's a really nice userpage. But I did like your old one, too! Hmmm.....Personally, I would say your new one, but I really think that this is up to you. After all, it is your userpage. So, onece again, I personally say your new one. And by the way, thanks for helping us so quickly at The League! Much appreciated! --Kyo cat¿Qué tal?meow! 23:04, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
