Please refrain from using talk pages such as Talk:Survivor: Cambodia‎ for general discussion of the topic. They are for discussion related to improving the article; not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. Thank you.   Hello, I'm Gloss. Your recent edit to the page Survivor: Redemption Island appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. MfD nomination of User:ToddGuy4/sandbox

edit

User:ToddGuy4/sandbox, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:ToddGuy4/sandbox and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:ToddGuy4/sandbox during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 04:16, 18 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

I feel as though the page was unfairly deleted. I had it for nearly a year. It wasn't inappropriate and I thought everyone had one for themselves ToddGuy4 (talk)
No, sorry, but Wikipedia is a project to build an encyclopedia, and that is all it is. Its facilities are not here to be used for other purposes like fantasy games. That is explained at WP:UPNOT and WP:NOTWEBHOST. If you disagree with the result of the deletion discussion, you can appeal at WP:Deletion review, but read those two links first.
You could consider using Wikia, which runs on the same MediaWiki software as Wikipedia, but is not restricted to a particular purpose. You may well find a suitable wiki there to host your page, or you could even start your own.
If you decide to do that, I will email you the contents of your page on request. You would need to set up email on your account (at the bottom of the "User profile" tab under "Preferences"). JohnCD (talk) 20:22, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Okay I've made my wiki

Good - I'm glad that works! JohnCD (talk)

I believe you said you were going to email me the contents of my sandbox page, could you do it?

ToddGuy4 (talk) 20:22, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, sure, but you have to enable email on your account. To do that, click on "Preferences" at the top of the screen, and at the bottom of the "User profile" tab enter your email address (which will not be visible to me or anyone) and check the box marked "Enable email from other users". Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Survivor: The Amazon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Survivor. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:30, 31 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

So, what does that mean?
ToddGuy4 (talk) 20:22, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
It means that you entered a link to Survivor, but that is a "Disambiguation" page consisting of links to other articles, and it would be better if you made your link point direct to the particular page you meant, rather than leave the reader to guess. Okay, I thought I was in trouble
