edit

Hello, Tobi999tomas. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Crystal Lake (band), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bass (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Also, I found one song from their first EP (And This Is Just The Start) from 2006 called 'Suicide Kiss', that's on my channel too. I'm missing the other two tracks from the first EP though. Feature appearances

edit

I was taught not to add "of X band" next to featured guests on albums before you were even editing. I caught this late, but this is now twice you have reverted me on this article for the same edit. I do not know which guideline this is, but I promise you if you ask around the project that works on this, opinion will not be in favor of a longer note. I am now simultaneously asking as respectfully and sincerely as possible to let it be the way it is now and have faith in me. Judging from the edit history on the talk page and your sparse, but still occasional, use of edit summaries, I hope you take this to heart. I don't mean any disrespect, I'm just mildly frustrated that correcting displays on metal albums such TITS seems to get reverted without any edit summary by you, and I'm hoping to have an open dialogue. I don't even think TITS was the first album I've seen you do this on. dannymusiceditor oops 23:50, 1 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Red album genres

edit

Hey there. I noticed that you've reverted some of my recent edits on Red albums due to a lack of source. I'm just a bit confused, because there are multiple featured Music category articles on Wikipedia that have no source for their genres whatsoever. For example,

I'm absolutely aware that sourcing is the idea (having rigourously worked a medium-size article to Good status), but I don't see what's wrong with getting something at least somewhat accurate into the infobox. This can't be a criteria if even featured articles don't have a requirement to source genres to reach the highest level of reviewed quality. VistaSunset (talk) 06:26, 25 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

@VistaSunset: I've reverted your edits on the Red albums. Because this user apparently does not like communicating often, let me explain in their stead. Those albums you have listed have additional context in the body that support said genres. It is bare minimum to cite them in the infobox, but this method is not preferred if there is sourced content which expounds upon the infobox labels later in the article. As you can see, several of Red's album articles are barely developed, so there may not be content to apply that to yet.
Anyway, I understand the wishful idea of displaying something in the infobox to give a general idea, but take this from WP:V: "any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be supported by inline citations." Given that Red's genre is often debated heavily and genres are subjective, this opinion needs to come from professional critics or supported by an appropriate award category. dannymusiceditor oops 04:26, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
@DannyMusicEditor Thanks for the explaination, that makes sense. VistaSunset (talk) 05:12, 3 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hey, Tobi999tomas. Noticed your continuous contribution to the For The Fallen Dreams Wikipedia page. I am a member of FTFD and while we genuinely appreciate you taking the time to correct info to the best to your knowledge, there is a lot of inaccurate information in the members section that needs to be edited, updated and corrected with the right info. Multiple “members” listed never had an official or long standing position in the band. Some are being confused with other related projects as well so as to not confuse further fans looking for the correct information about the band, its origins and history please refrain from deleting further edits and replacing them with the previous inaccurate information.
