Hello, Tjhigh, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Photograph of Donner Pass

Hi, tj. I'm assuming that you left the message on my talk page (it was posted from an IP address that wasn't logged into Wikipedia, but it was from the University of New Mexico, so I'm guessing it was you).

I think that the old 1870 photograph didn't really show much of anything identifiable. The new picture is a Featured Picture over at Commons, so I think it's much higher quality. —hike395 (talk) 03:09, 5 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
