January 2020 edit

Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Assam. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Do not add info on general migrants in the language section. Info on Bangladeshi refugee is covered in the populations sub-section of the Demographics section. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:26, 15 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Jalia Kaibarta, you may be blocked from editing. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:42, 17 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

But you are the one vandalizing articles relating to Assam from your point of view. I have noticed that in several Assam related articles. Now name a place that has more Kaibartta, is it Assam or West Bengal ? If Assam has more Kaibartta (& including Nepal), why add a person with an average Bengali look to represent all Kaibartta groups ?

Tizen03 (talk) 13:33, 18 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Jalia Kaibarta. Removing long standing image is vandalism. Your POV pushing is too. This article has nothing to do with Assam particularly. See the original version [1] which is Odisha specific. You could create a separate article on Assamese Keots if you want. Neither any of the sources supported Assam when I started editing that article. I could have removed mention of Assam for being unsourced. Instead I put some sources which are on snippets. Snippet views are not considered reliable and can get deleted in future. Secondly, the ethnicity of the person is not clear from the image description not to mention he doesn't even look like Kaibartas from Bengal, let alone average people. The image description only says that he is from Bengal region in British era. He might be a tribal from any of the regions under British Bengal Province including Odisha. Thirdly, check the Rajput article. It has Rajputs from Delhi in the infobox image, but the majority of Rajputs live in Rajasthan. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 06:49, 19 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Map edit

I am aware that the map is wrong and shows both greater Sylhet and Cachar. But, why do you keep adding the Sylhet Division map? That is also wrong as it does not include Karimganj. Please make a new map which includes Bangladesh's Sylhet Division and India's Karimganj district. UserNumber (talk) 12:50, 19 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

If its wrong then why a big area like undivided Cachar (Cachar+Hailakandi) is being included as Sylhet. A lot of 'Sylhet' related pages included undivided Cachar in it, a few days back I even had to edit Sylhet referendum, because it claimed entire Barak Valley (undivided Cachar) instead of just Karimganj. Its more wrong to add undivided Cachar, as its a much bigger area than Karimganj. I would have made a proper map, but I'm on a tight schedule. Please ask someone else do it. Till then don't include undivided Cachar. Tizen03 (talk) 14:39, 19 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Assamese language edit

I have reverted some of your recent edits. For example, it is Asom Sahitya Sabha, not Assam Sahitya Sabha, etc. Chaipau (talk) 11:31, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

But the image caption should be 'Axomiya' instead of 'Asamiya'. Oxomiya/Axomiya is also alternative name. Tizen03 (talk) 11:36, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
The standard spelling in Asamiya. The pronunciation is given just below, in the infobox. Chaipau (talk) 16:32, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Atleast it can be added in the first paragraph alongside 'Asamiya' ? Tizen03 (talk) 16:41, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
There is no need to belabor that point. Could you please revert it? What do the spellings add to the information? The native pronunciation is already given. If you keep adding this, this will be considered WP:TE, a form of disruptive editing. The point is to give out most of the relevant information as efficiently as possible, without going off on a tangent. Chaipau (talk) 17:19, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Bengal edit

Hi, I'm aware of your concerns about the accuracy of geographical description but you seem to have ventured into other areas of the article as seen here and here and making some controversial changes. The empires based in Bengal like Pala or the Bengal Sultanate did include parts of Assam and Nepal. A large part of Bengal's documented history remains as independent kingdoms like Pundravardhana, Vanga Kingdom, Samatata, Gauda Kingdom, Sena Empire as well as the two empires stated earlier. Your edits have also introduced some prose and grammatical issues. Please use the talk page to seek help from other editors and discuss the changes as you have been advised by other editors here. --Zayeem (talk) 17:59, 14 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Then it should written as 'some parts of Assam & Nepal' instead of using the words "Assam & Nepal". As using the word Assam & Nepal is hugely misleading. Tizen03 (talk) 11:10, 15 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

But Bengal Sultanates won't be considered as a Bengali empire, because it was a Turkish Empire. Tizen03 (talk) 11:14, 15 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Nominating drafts for deletion edit

Hello. Today you nominated 23 drafts for deletion. However the tag you put on them, WP:PROD does not apply to articles that are still drafts. What were you trying to achieve? What was special about those 23 that made you think they should be deleted? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 14:45, 14 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Curb Safe Charmer: Because none of those drafts were valid. You can check it yourself, some of them were just advertising & poorly written biographical data. I wanted to mark more drafts but there were way too many of them.
Can you please tell me what tag I should use to suggest deletion for invalid drafts ? Tizen03 (talk) 14:57, 14 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Tizen03: You needn't concern yourself with other people's drafts. If they are submitted for review and aren't suitable, they will be declined or rejected by experienced reviewers. If they are left untouched for six months they will be deleted as stale. The best thing to do is leave them alone. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 15:00, 14 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

It should be "Dex" or "Desh". There is nothing called "Dexh". Chaipau (talk) 20:15, 14 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Chaipau: Can you please help me delete these redirects - Dex Dexkh. This is why I couldn't rename the article with 'Dex'. I don't know how to delete redirects, I was trying to delete 'Dex' one, but in the process I created a new one with 'Dexkh'.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Imphal Valley edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Imphal Valley requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://ir.amu.ac.in/978/1/T%206216.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
