Revert edit

Why did you revert his contributions? It didn't seem like vandalism or facruft. Moray An Par (talk) 08:55, 22 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry I reverted your edits. If you have concerns regarding the authenticity of the dates or the chapters themselves, I believed it should have been discussed first. Moray An Par (talk) 09:19, 22 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for having replied late. The edits look similar to those made by the various anon IPs (from at least two IPs, that is). My main concern was, well, with the lack of sources. I haven't added an appropriate user warning at the time, though. --- Tito Pao (talk) 06:39, 23 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Young Critics Circle edit

The article Young Critics Circle has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NOTFILM. No reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blackout edit

How are you choosing the recipients for your blackout notices? Ryan Vesey 02:47, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Through the category for Wikipedians in the Philippines. The recent posts, by the way, is a joint effort with Sky Harbor and a few other collaborators, we were planning this via email/private message. I haven't checked, though, if they have posted the blackout notices too, as I have been online through my laptop just today (I was previously checking their messages through my mobile phone). --- Tito Pao (talk) 02:55, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
That's too local. There should be an RfC tag and comments posted at the various village pumps. A larger RfC needs to be taken for any action to occur. Ryan Vesey 02:57, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the tip. Please leave a message on Sky Harbor's talk page too, as he's really the one in charge of this initiative. I'm just a water boy :) --- Tito Pao (talk) 03:07, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of Interest? edit

Are you really sure you know what that means? If yes, please explain how I inadvertently admitted to have conflict of interest.Unique Albay (talk) 03:08, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

You're insisting that you have the right to edit the pages in question, and that anyone else who reverts or edits your revisions is a vandal. Not to mention that you're "pure-blooded" and closely affiliated to the subject. Blake Gripling (talk) 03:11, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Again, I have not said such statement. I do not insist that no one except me can edit pages. Do not put words into the mouth of a mute! The two of you are harassing me for charging violations and actions that I have never done! Again, I ask you to cite the incidents of me cussing, name-calling, and edit-warring or I will report this matter to the arbitrators for harassment!Unique Albay (talk) 01:43, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

What do you call this then? "You are not competent enough to try to attempt to settle these issues. Your failure to show neutrality beyond doubts has not been resolved until now." Calling someone incompetent for what they tried to do in order to fix this mess reeks of ad hominem if you ask me. Blake Gripling (talk) 02:02, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

For such argument to be ad hominem, it must be irrelevant. [1] [2]Unique Albay (talk) 04:28, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Traditions of the University of Santo Tomas edit

Is there any way I can keep the article? The person who voted it for deletion argued about the lack of sources. But you want it deleted because it lacks popularity? Hmm. Should the argument be on the sources alone - whether the article satisfies the criteria or not? This is an honest question. Two of you wanted it deleted because of a different issue compared to the primary issue.

I am addressing the lack of primary sources. What I cant do anything about is that UST is not UP Ateneo or La Salle. I'm a Manileño and I never went to the articles you mentioned. And too, the fact that the article has 30 plus primary sources, arent they enough evidences that there are notable University Traditions other than the ones from UP Ateneo and DLSU?

I really think that as a Filipino editor, you should be helping me maintain the article. I could easily nominate the History of Ateneo de Manila and Culture and traditions of Ateneo de Manila, which have 33 and 8 sources respectively, for deletion. But I wont, because I believe, these articles warrant their own article, and can be better if edited thoroughly. Sana ganyan ka din mag isip. Just because the article is not UP-Ateneo-centric, you want to delete it? :(

I created the article, maybe 8 years ago, not thinking about whether or not UP and Ateneo have better and more popular traditions. I created the article because I want everyone to know the rich culture UST has. I want to record through wikipedia, so my fellow Thomasians would know what happened to UST in the previous years. Sana as a Filipino, even if you are not a Thomasian, help in preserving a Filipino related article. If you dont want it, just leave it. Hindi yung mag cocomment ka pa and want it deleted? :( Help, instead of nominating it for deletion

I just checked your profile and some articles you created. There is one article, for a person, whom I never heard of, that contains only 4 sources. You want to maintain that article, right? but you also want to delete an article with more than 60 sources just because its not from UP or Ateneo? Again, Please, help, instead of throwing a Philippine-related article. Pampi1010 (talk) 15:48, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

2019 US Banknote Contest edit

  US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

Speedy deletion nomination of Mark Carpio edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mark Carpio, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. PRAXIDICAE🌈 14:54, 1 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mark Carpio edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mark Carpio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.bworldonline.com/editors-picks/2021/01/15/338920/with-move-to-viva-singer-mark-carpio-to-provide-movie-theme-songs/?amp. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
