Ichigo Kurosaki

Ichigo's page is, quite frankly, messy in comparison to other anime character pages, like Naruto's. I've seen other people suggest to change its format, but they've all been shot down for one reason or another. Regardless, I feel that it's getting out of hand, and that at the very least his role in the plot should be seperate from his abilities. I'd do it myself, but I don't have the time or experience. Can you help? 207.216.200.81 (talk) 04:00, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Yeah... but if that's the case then pretty much every singal anime character article on Wikipedia is going to need 100% revising, because almost all of them have seperates sections for their powers, role in plot, background, etc. Sasuke Uchiha is a prime example. But I still think those articles, even if they don't fully conform to Wikipedia's guidelines, are better set up than Ichigo's currently is. 207.216.200.81 (talk) 19:21, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
I get what you're saying. But what I don't understand is that if Sasuke's and Naruto's and Ichigo's and everyone else's articles go against Wikipedia guidelines, why haven't they been flagged and revised by now? 207.216.200.81 (talk) 19:34, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
There would also be a lot of backlash from everyone, admins and anons alike, who prefer the current layouts regardless of the guidelines. Even if you or another admin were to edit it to conform to Wikipedia's guidelines, there would probably be an edit war. I've seen is that there are a lot of articles that don't conform, and nobody is doing anything about it. I'd like to say "Maybe the lack of editors has something to do with it too, but that's no excuse for the existing editors not to try", but I doubt that it would be successful unless all the admins were to get together and agree to make all the articles conform and lock them to prevent reversion. 207.216.200.81 (talk) 19:56, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the edits on XXXholic

Thanks for the edits to the references in XXXholics. I would, however, encourage you to take a little more time to clean your edits up before you save them. Looking through the section as it is now, your edits are missing a lot of words and aspects crucial to coherent sentence structure. You have all the time in the world to return to your edits, so try to spend more time making sure they read correctly before you save them. Thanks!Luminum (talk) 19:55, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

It's about cloning so I added it to the page. I've got two warnings and I almost got banned because you keep removing it and flagging my userpage. STOP IT!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.134.188.237 (talk) 23:24, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

None of the edits had a edit summary to explain such things. Moreover, as Wikimichael22 and me noted, cloning is not prominent theme in Tsubasa with only two notable clones existing and being more prominent themes in the series such as romance or magic. Besides, the clones could be a subtopic of magic as they were created by a sorcerer.Tintor2 (talk) 00:24, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Edit War

Hello again, I am having an edit war with user:TheFarix. After he misunderstood my argument again about how japanese is not translated I wrote him a message on his talk page. He is moving what I wrote to the list of hollows talk page where I did not intend it to be. It was aimed directly at him and no one else. I do not want it to be on that talk page because I already put pretty much all of that on there before and what I wrote on TheFarix's talk page was meant only for him and not for general discussion. Can you please stop him.--150.212.72.23 (talk) 04:26, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Edit War re. Ōkami Kakushi

TheFarix and myself have been having an on-off edit war over a rather inconsequential piece of trivia regarding the anime/manga/visual novel Ōkami Kakushi. The subject of out disagreement is whether or not the "kamibito" of Joga qualify as an imaginative take on werewolves. Looking soley at the anime, I am of the opinion that they do, based on the constant wolf motif regarding the "kamibito", the constant full moon, a remark made by one of the characters that the "kamibito" are "like werewolves", and the that the "kamibito" are repeatedly stated to be descended from wolves. TheFarix maintains that, and I quote "[n]othing in the series states or even suggests that they are werewolves, though the wolf motif is used as a metaphor for their condition and that it may have originated form the now extinct wolf population." I'm probably being petty over this but neither of us is willing to budge in our opinions so could you please help resolve this with a third and hopefully impartial point of view? 173.180.75.13 (talk) 09:17, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Shaman King

Hello Tintor2. Each section that I created in the Shaman King article under Manga was about a distinct topic relating to the production of the series. I can agree that these sections aren't very long, but to me these headers made sense because it would allow someone to easily search the article for these topics. How long should these sections be before subsections become acceptable?

That said, why remove any mention of the way the incomplete? This seems especially relevant because the American production ended in the same way, with no word from the editor stating that the perfect edition ending would be released? Hewinsj (talk) 15:55, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your point about extra section headings and will not add them again.
On my second point, I think that it is significant that the series publication ended the way that it did, but was completed years later in a new edition. Without including plot details, would it be possible to mention that the manga originally ended on a cliffhanger, with a note from the author thanking his fans? This could lead into the paragraph about the kanzenban edition containing additional material that went beyond what was presented in volume 32 to conclude the series. This could then wrap up with a simple statement that Viz's publication followed the original tankobon edition and while it does include the Funbari no Uta side story it does not include the Kanzenban ending. Hewinsj (talk) 16:45, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
What are you looking for regarding reliable sources? Of the above statements, what needs to be sourced outside of the manga itself? Hewinsj (talk) 17:04, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
I will look into this, thank you for your help. I may be able to get what I need out of the source you mentioned and one other that is already listed. Hewinsj (talk) 17:18, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Final Fantasy VII character "Hojo"

Hello, Tintor2. Since you've worked on Final Fantasy VII articles, I thought maybe you know: A certain person asserts that "friends of Hojo called him 'Bill'"! Have you ever encountered something like this in the reliable sources? Or is that a joke that I fail to understand? Fleet Command (talk) 15:20, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Now, what if I tell you that the "certain person" who asserted this is a GameSpot reviewer? Would you still say that it is a joke? (Well, I don't deny that reviewers are human and may tell jokes... But they rarely do in the middle of a professional work.) Fleet Command (talk) 15:37, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Kingdom Hearts articles

Hey Tintor- Given your excellent work on the recent Kingdom Hearts character articles, I thought I'd ask if you have some development information for the other articles, specifically the games. Let me know as Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts II are FA, but don't meet the current criteria. I'm currently busy with other things, as I'm sure you are, but I'd like to work on the articles again if possible. (Guyinblack25 talk 22:18, 22 February 2011 (UTC))

I'm sorry but Xehanort deserves his own page. Besides, when you think about it, that page would be interesting because while Xehanort himself is rarely seen, one form or another is shown. Unfortunately, I don't know what to put for "Creation and Development" even though I get what you're saying earlie about it.

P.S. Would it off to think Kairi and Riku as they have been in as many games as Sora.

Fighterplanes (talk) 13:11, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

As I said, the Animax dubs are very rare. But the full Animax dubbed series is online, if you need proof.

Fighterplanes (talk) 13:12, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Dude, the entire series is online. Shall I link the vidoes as proof? I don't think wikipedia allows that.

Fighterplanes (talk) 13:15, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

You are denying the existance of a series for which PROOF is readily avaliable. Like I said, this is a very rare series, and very few people know about it. Just because no one has written about it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There are other forms of proof than just words. The Animax dubbed Getbackers series- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fighterplanes (talkcontribs) 13:22, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

BTW, the reliable source which you linked states: "The word "source" as used on Wikipedia has three related meanings: the piece of work itself... "

Fighterplanes (talk) 13:28, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

No they don't that's the problem. The website of the channel removes old articles of old programs constantly. Only the current Anime programs are listed now.

Another Wikipedia article also confirms that Getbackers was aired by Animax- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_programs_broadcast_by_Animax Fighterplanes (talk) 13:33, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

That information is within the dub itself. You have to watch the dub to get the information. Also I do have the old article from the website saved. BTW, the website of the Animax dubber- http://www.redangelmedia.com/content/view/50/66/

Fighterplanes (talk) 13:38, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Conviniently ignored the website of the dubber? They clearly state that they dub for Animax. And the director Russel wait in his own website state he works for Animax and dubbed Getbackers. Here you go, the reliable sources- http://www.redangelmedia.com/content/view/50/66/ http://www.russellwait.com/Russells_Website/Dubbing_CV.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fighterplanes (talkcontribs) 13:50, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

The above info is also confirmed by the Getbackers ANN page.

Fighterplanes (talk) 13:54, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Ok, Updated the article with the above links. Much thanks for the guidance.

Fighterplanes (talk) 14:17, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

The second link from the director of Red Angel Media clearly states Getbackers and Animax. Please stop vandalizing my contribution.

Fighterplanes (talk) 16:14, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

You just pointed out that Animax website doesn't have Getbackers, which was said by me before. That's because Getbackers is no longer aired by animax! Besides, this dub is unique since this is the only dub which has no DVD release to it. Fans need to know about it. Why did you delete it?

Fighterplanes (talk) 16:34, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Fans need to know it what became of it. It doesn't exist is still an information. I don't recall seeing any wiki rule against it. Now stay away from my contrib.

Fighterplanes (talk) 18:54, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

SPE doesn't release dolls but they do release dvds. Besides, this is about Getbackers which is primarily a show and a manga, not a doll. Info on what became of the show is crucial.

Fighterplanes (talk) 19:15, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

The source clearly points to the fact that there are no Getbackers media available.

Fighterplanes (talk) 19:22, 6 March 2011 (UTC) Ok then what about the plot? Is it ok if I delete it since it doesn't carry any reliable source. The source doesn't say what the plot says. Why the double standards? I could point out a lot more unreliable sentences.

The fans need to know what happened to the series and it's current status. The info is valuable for fans.

Tsubasa character pages

For one Syaoran the little tidbit I added is the most you can really find in the Clamp no Kiseki volumes related to Tsubasa (11 and 12) and the first character guide which I own. The second character guide I wouldn't hope for much either since it doesn't have an interview unlike the first. The books mostly focus on the challenges Clamp had to face creating a linked story such as Tsubasa and xxxHolic and what it was like to write for a Shounen audience. However they do contain some creation and conception information that I can add to the the general character page. Also in the "Creation and conception" section, you said that "In early versions from the manga, Syaoran was to be portrayed as a mechanic rather than an archaeologist... adjustable spanner." I looked through my book (also it doesn't have a page 305, only 200 something) and I couldn't find reference to this, though I seem to recall this tidbit from some source or other. Also great job on xxxHolic, if it's anything related to Clamp and you'd like help, I'd be more than willing to help you. AngelFire3423 (talk) 21:17, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Thank for the notice that you remove this article Tsunade out of the list. I still look for the information and ther creator will replay to my answer hopefully soon. I got some of the information form Shōnen Jump. I'm busy in real world and problem that happen. Everything start to slow down for me. It will take time for me to update the information and add more about it. I really want to tell that it will take time at Tsunade Senju update. The second source take time for me to look and I know that you told me you try and hard to found the infromation. In other words, I know that people start to fix some grammer. You can look at what I have done now but I still need more time. maybe the information give you the idea and you can correct the grammer on the information.

List of characters in Fullmetal Alchemist "Protagonist" content

Winry Rockbell and Roy Mustang are also in the protagonist list for 2 reasons:

1. Winry is a main supporting character in FMA because she created Ed's automail arm. She also creates automails for other characters through much of the manga and second anime series.

2. Mustang is one of the main characters in FMA. He plans to help make Ametris a better country and is responsible for having the Elric brothers infriate the State Military.

3. Characters that are added to the protagonist list or antagonist list are actually important characters. 68.194.237.169 (talk) 22:43, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Manga and Anime character sections

I've noticed that you've removed and reduced the personality and abilities sections of some notable Manga and Anime characters like Gintoki Sakata and Himura Kenshin. What doesn't make sense is that there are many other character articles which have the personality and abilities sections and most of these characters aren't famous.

If you're a Naruto fan then shouldn't you edit the personality, ability sections of articles Naruto Uzumaki,Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi and Rock Lee into just Appearances in....?

If you don't do it, then it's not very fair that you edit other characters' sections. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheProSamurai (talkcontribs) 23:39, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Reminder: Bleach chapters FLRCs

Hey Tintor2,

Just a reminder that all of the articles in Category:Bleach manga chapter lists will have to undergo an FLRC. It would be best, if you nominated them yourself, starting with List of Bleach manga volumes. Cheers, Goodraise 09:22, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

I agree about List of Bleach manga volumes since its content was reduced, but why should sublists also undergo a review if they are not FLs, but start. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 16:34, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Well, splitting featured lists isn't happening every day, but this is how I remember this kind of situation used to be dealt with. All articles resulting from such a split were considered featured and had to go through a review to get listed at WP:FL. The introduction of featured list criterion 3b makes this procedure even more sensible. Also, List of Bleach chapters (188–367) probably contains more of the original list than List of Bleach manga volumes does. Then again, I haven't been very active at WP:FLC for a long time and this procedure was only informal to begin with, if I even remember it correctly. If it's not to your liking, I'd suggest asking one of the directors for advice. Goodraise 18:44, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Re:Metal Gear

Hey. Thanks for complimenting my work but, in all honesty, you've made much, much better edits to the article than I have. A few copyediting tweaks in no way match the kind of researched expansion that you've been doing. Amazing job.

Anyway, a separate article for the soundtracks makes sense. If it was created, the Metal Gear article could simply provide a link and a brief summary of the topic, like with Final Fantasy VIII. As for the plot section, I wouldn't call myself an expert on the subject. I've played MGS 1-3 and a bit of Metal Gear 1. Aside from that, my knowledge of the series plot is limited. It does seem like MGS4 gets too little coverage, though; it could probably be expanded somewhat.

Keep up the great work. Considering all the improvements, I think it's safe to rerate the article to B-Class. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 18:57, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle "art and fanbooks" section.

I do not know why my edit has been reverted, however the information regarding the two soundtrack albums is missleading and inaccurate. The first season of the series featured soundtracks from both Future Soundscape 1 and Future Soundscape 2. Hence the 2nd piano solo album has more soundtracks featured in the first season than soundtracks not featured in the first season, and does not focus on soundtracks featured in the second season. Furthermore the 1st piano solo album had tracks from Future Soundscape 1 alone, rather than all soundtracks featured in the 1st season. Mikoro (talk) 17:25, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

Color in templates

i'm wondering if there are any real restrictions against adding color palletes to navboxes other than becoming difficult to distinguish for people who could possibly be color blind. To me i just see it as a way tomake things a lil more distinguishable, such as between chapter lists or episode seasons.Bread Ninja (talk) 08:41, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

ah thank you. i usually do certain ones (more recently the legend of zelda). But i got an odd discussion out of it and wasn't sure if there was some unwritten rule behind it.Bread Ninja (talk) 11:21, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Code Geass Ending

The ending was ultimately decided to be left up to multiple interpretations as admitted by the director in charge of Code Geass. I am going with the ending that makes the most sense to both C.C.'s character and likelihood of her not having an ending of being left to an eternity of loneliness, and most importantly, most true to the original Japanese ending in which Lelouch is clearly alive in.

You are free to disagree but this matter is beyond argument with me as it is the most likely possible ending from my point of view with the data I have seen. Since it is an ending left to interpretation, I will have a consistent reason to change the plot to what I believe is most true. If it burdens you enough that you will keep changing it back, you are free to do so though. The only acceptable compromise to this is a description that displays both possible endings on the grounds it's not 100% clear. Expect an edit if anything less than this is made in the future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Valkyrie J.J. (talkcontribs) 19:52, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Fair point, but I personally believe that technicalities aside, the explanation I present makes more sense if you take into account all the information given in the anime. It would clearly be intended by Lelouch to not let anyone know that he survived so that his goal of peace remains intact which makes it unfair to say it isn't viable because no characters flat out said it. And again, the director of the anime has said the ending is open up to interpretation; I strongly feel this interpretation is truer to the story and as such should be the one reported at a resource like Wikipedia. Again, I have nothing against rewording it to include both possibilities as endings if you choose to do so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Valkyrie J.J. Again, your interpretation is no better, especially on the grounds that you are only taking into account direct conversations in an anime that is supposed to keep you guessing at many points which increases the odds of you being at fault even further. I will re-edit the article after an appropriate amount of time has been passed. I strongly recommend working with me to include a plot description that includes both interpretations of the end as that is what your explanation is as well, merely an interpretation. We both feel that our interpretations are more true, thus we will be at an endless waltz until we compromise. ~Best regards Valkyrie J.J. (talkcontribs) 12:40, 13 September 2011

I wouldn't like to call it an edit war; I simply believe you are pushing for a narrow-minded description for a very open interpretation. The actual ending is not meant to be as clear as you claim it to be. I'm only pushing for the one I believe is most true based on the anime from my perspective; furthermore, what you claim to be the end is just as speculated to me as my interpretation is speculated to you.

Again, I am willing to meet in the middle and even at a third with a minimum of a mention of the other possible ending and the reasons as to why its probable as a token of good will to end the conflict. As for the play, there were many things in it that didn't really connect with the anime and it was obvious that it wasn't to be really associated as part of the actual story in the anime, but rather as more content in general for the fans of Code Geass. It would be out of place to use it as a source for any info on the story or the characters in-terms to the events of the actual anime. Valkyrie J.J. (talkcontribs) 7:35 PM, 13 September 2011

Your missing a piece as to why it makes sense. He does not possess both the Geass and the Code at the same exact time, but that the code does not activate until he dies with the Geass. It is suggested in the anime through visual information, that C.C. and Charles both died before it was shown they were immortal; thus, Lelouch being immortal in the end very well could of been overlooked by Lelouch himself as something unintentional. There has also been official art suggesting Lelouch survived Zero Requiem such as a poster with C.C. and Lelouch with C.C. in the outfit that was only at the end of the anime after the supposed death of Lelouch. Also, there is the very peculiar fact that C.C. was talking to Lelouch in the end. Although it's possible she was just talking to herself in some sense, it seems more plausible that from the tone, the head nod, and the smile, that she was talking to Lelouch directly.

Ideally it would be nice if it was officially confirmed what really happened, but in contrast, it is encouraged to have multiple interpretations by the director in the end. There is enough information and logic to include this as a possible ending for something that was meant to not be forced into one undeniable ending explanation. Valkyrie J.J.
