Speedy deletion of User:Timothy.n.lacy
editA tag has been placed on User:Timothy.n.lacy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:User:Timothy.n.lacy|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. {{helpme}} I added my CV info to the user pages ONLY because I thought it was internal, for establishing my bona fides with Wikipedia editorial staff. I do not want it to be a public page!!!! - TLTimothy.n.lacy (talk) 22:43, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Erm, it is public. Your CV is not required, and since it is impossible to verify most things over the internet such things are not (really) taken into account when considering the 'usefulness' of an editor; we draw much more on what they have contributed to the encyclopedia than what they claim to have contributed to the rest of the world. I'd advise removing it and replacing it with a simple 'I am X, I do Y in real life and my areas of interest on-wiki are Z'. Ironholds (talk) 22:46, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- (e/c) As far as I can tell, the revisions have been deleted. — neuro(talk) 22:49, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
