Hello, Timelyheart! I appreciate you attempt to edit the Ilchi Lee article, but there are several things about your additions that are well outside of Wikipedia policy. Before editing any further, please acquaint yourself with Wikipedia policy, especially in regard to biographies of living people. (You can link to them through the Ilchi Lee discussion page. Here are the most serious issues that you need to be aware of:

  • Biographies of living people must be handled very carefully, and controversial material must be supported with the highest quality sources. This generally means sources that are fact-checked and have a full editorial board.
  • Rick Ross and Steve Hassan websites have been an issue in many articles. The general conclusions is that they are not fact-checked and make no attempt to present a balanced point-of-view, and are therefore unreliable.(Please consider the fact that these guys have a vested interest in ruining the reputations of organizations and individuals, and therefore they cannot be considered reliable sources of information. Their entire careers are based on stirring up controversy and fear.) They are especially inappropriate sources for biographies of living people.
  • A neutral point of view must be used at all times. It is not appropriate to use bold to bring extra attention to controversial material.
  • It is not appropriate to delete other people's edits unless there is some clear violation of policy. It would have been fine to add to the content that was already there, but there was no reason to delete it. Please check Wikipedia's policy on civility.
  • The information you add to an article should not go beyond the scope of the sources you use to support it. I checked your sources carefully; you have in some cases added information that goes beyond the content of the article.

Please revise your edits to fit policy.Nicola Cola (talk) 03:40, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Who in the freakin' world are you? Timelyheart? That sounds like a crock. There is nothing Timely about your heart, let me tell you that. I really don't appreciate your editing of the Ilchi Lee article. It stinks of forgery and corruption. Ilchi is a respected man. He is innocent until proven guilty. I would appreciate if you kept Dahn Yoga and Ilchi Lee out of the controversy arena. Nicole is right here. Please leave us alone. We aren't bothering anyone. We just want to make sure that this so called controversy is invisible. I hope you understand. Matthew Laffert (talk) 10:01, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Timelyheart's reply: I removed a threatening statement made by Mathew Laffert's to me. RE: "We just want to make sure that this so called controversy is invisible." Yes, and it looks like that's what you're trying to do.--Timelyheart (talk) 17:29, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can you blame me or the others? If you practiced Dahn, wouldn't you do the same? Matthew Laffert (talk) 10:35, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Timelyheart's reply: RE: "If you practiced Dahn, wouldn't you do the same?" NO! I would hope to keep my objectivity and not resort to threats and accusations against anything controversial. --Timelyheart (talk) 20:30, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I don't like the additions you made re: religious scholars. How did you find those? It smells fishy.Matthew Laffert (talk) 10:36, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Timelyheart's reply: Anyone can click on the reference and read it for themselves. I even gave some page numbers. These newly added sources are from religions scholars and they look very legit. to me. These people study religions in their historical and social context. In fact, one source is written by a person who openly opposes organizations that call new religious movements "cults" - Massimo Introvigne. I am surprised that any person who is deeply devoted to Ilchi Lee wouldn't already know the information that these sources provide. It would only be controversial, imo, if there is some reason that Dahn doesn't want people to know it. --Timelyheart (talk) 20:30, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
