It is PoV to describe someone as "the greatst civil servant &c &c", this is only the view of the Irish Times, what other sources tell us this? The change I made wasn't vandalism or an ideological edit! Yours, --Couter-revolutionary 02:41, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please pay more attention to detail: the article did NOT claim he was the "greatest civil servant" but ONE OF them - and few people in Ireland would doubt that, except perhaps begrudgers in extremist unionist or republican quarters (and maybe not even them). As for other sources? ... Would the President of Ireland be enough for you? Or Professors Lynch, Lee, UCD or the larger National University of Ireland (which bestowed an honorary doctorate) or the Central Bank itself, which observed that his contribution "to the development of the State was significant and enduring"? So, it's not just the view of the Irish Times. In an event, I have taken KittyBrewster's advice and you hopefully will now be more comfortable with the text.Tim Griffin 09:50, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I assume you've read this since your attack on me at Talk:Glasnevin Cemetery which i only just seen (Gnevin 21:15, 20 June 2007 (UTC))Reply

No offence meant, but perhaps you could first suggest in the article's talk page, your proposed course of action before engaging in substantial deletions. Let's not consider my remarks as an "attack" on you, but rather a comment on the need to maintain relevance, quality, and literary standards. Tim Griffin 22:23, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
