The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

AUG (Band) edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of AUG (Band), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.reverbnation.com/aug.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on AUG (Band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. VernoWhitney (talk) 20:34, 17 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Page on your band edit

Hi! I noticed your message on the band talk page and decided to answer here.

So you want to write an article about the band. Start by answering these questions. Is it your band? When was it formed? Has it had any hit singles on the national record charts? Is there any press coverage (not self published websites) about the band? Has the band done anything notable, like appearing on any national broadcasts or playing at any notable or unusual events?

Answer these questions and I'll tell you what you need to do to make an article. And so I'm not raising any false hopes, the answer MIGHT be that you can't - that the band is not notable. See WP:NMG for more information.

Thank you for wanting to learn more and for your contributions.
