Hi Thomas!
I saw that you undid my edit here. It is my experience that nearly everybody I have met with this surname pronounced it “oh-DAY,” hence the most common anglicised version being O’Day or Day. It is also faithful to the Irish pronunciation, which is very similar. The general consensus, at least in Ireland, is that it is “oh-DAY.”
