Marsden's positions edit

You shouldn't delete something just because your hero says something embarassing to your cause. It wasn't that long ago that homosexuality was as repulsive to society as beastiality, before people started trying to normalize it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Robinrobin (talkcontribs) 06:18, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Rachel Marsden edit

An editor has nominated Rachel Marsden, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rachel Marsden (4th nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:00, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit summary edit

I see you did not check my contribs before adding your rather rude edit summary. I thought it was a rather good use of the edit summary for your unsourced original research. Thanks, SqueakBox 01:00, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Hitler_jugend.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Hitler_jugend.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice?pd_THOR | =/\= | 21:21, 26 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

laud edit

In stark contrast to your blank userpage, and this svelte talk page, you are obviously an experienced and well-versed contributor. Having made assumptions based on the observations I mentioned, I assumed you to be a drive-by uploader w/o regard for the rules and procedures herein. Your impressive, comprehensive, and quick improvement of Image:Hitler jugend.jpg ([1]) prompts me to apologize for my mischaracterization and to laud your work there. Cheers. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 01:22, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

An article you created maybe deleted soon: Tools which can help you edit

The article you created: James Harvey Callahan may be deleted from Wikipedia.

There is an ongoing debate about whether your article should be deleted here:

The faster you respond on this page, the better chance the article you created can be saved.

Finding sources which mention the topic of your article is the very best way to avoid an article being deleted {{Findsources3}}:

Find sources for James Harvey Callahan: google news recent, google news old, google books, google scholar, NYT recent, NYT old, a9, msbooks, msacademic ...You can then cite these results in the Article for deletion discussion.

Also, there are several tools and helpful editors on Wikipedia who can help you:

1. List the page on Article Rescue Squadron. You can get help listing your page on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
2. At any time, you can ask any administrator to move your article to a special page. (Called userfication)

3. You can request a mentor to help you: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond to you before responding on the article for deletion page.
4. When trying to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. These acronyms don't need to intimidate you. Here is a list of acronyms you can use yourself: Deletion debate acronyms, which will help you argue that the article should be kept.

If your page is deleted, you also have many options available. Good luck! Ikip (talk) 01:06, 26 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

== John Scurfield == I have undone your entry. It is not appropriate to add specific sentences imposed by Justice Scurfield to the article.

Delta Police Department edit

I've reviewed your edit to the DPD and I'm not sure where in the source article did you find:

  • a) the DPD officer was the person who uttered racial slurs
  • b) the DPD officer was the person who threatened to use a taser

Edit-warring edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gay Bowel Syndrome. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution.

Please stop by the talk page, where I would be happy to discuss the issue with you. I've also asked for outside opinions from the Medicine WikiProject. MastCell Talk 21:13, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
