For a source: Basically you need to find a book published from a reputable publishing house which gives the information that you want to add to a certain article. You wrote something like "some detailed studies" -- then you need to tell us what those detailed studies are, you just can't say it. The basic format: after the period in your sentence, place this: <ref>details of the citation</ref> (with the italicized words being your book title). For more information see here.
