Placing templates

Template messages vary in their placement. For example, a {{merge}} notice goes at the top of the article, but the {{stub}} message goes at the bottom. Read the documentation at the bottom of a template for instructions on how to make use of it.

To add this auto-updating template to your user page, use {{totd}}

Loukas Giorkas category deletion edit

Please stop deleting the categories, etc from the Loukas Giorkas article. --Bamyers99 (talk) 19:58, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

September 2019 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Loukas Yorkas, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Epistulae ad Familiares (talk) 06:12, 23 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Loukas Yorkas, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop deleting categories and sources on the page. This is indirect contravention with Wikipedia's policies on WP:VERIFIABILITY requiring all content to be properly attributed by reliable sources. The deletion of categories also hampers proper categorisation of the article. Epistulae ad Familiares (talk) 06:17, 23 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Epistulae ad Familiares. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Loukas Yorkas have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Please note that social media links are not appropriate external links per WP:LINKSTOAVOID, and certainly not a substitute for proper references. Welcome! edit

Hello, Theodorosyiorkas, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Loukas Giorkas, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! September 2019 edit

Hello Theodorosyiorkas. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Loukas Yorkas, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Theodorosyiorkas. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Theodorosyiorkas|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Hello! Even if you are not being paid, you are clearly very close to the subject, so you need to make necessary disclosures before you continue to edit, and you need to use the article's talk page to request edits, instead of making them directly.   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Your draft article, User:Theodorosyiorkas/sandbox/theoyiork edit

Hello, Theodorosyiorkas. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "sandbox/theoyiork".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Speedy deletion nomination of Discussioni utente:Nungalpiriggal edit

Hello Theodorosyiorkas,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Discussioni utente:Nungalpiriggal for deletion, because it seems to be a test. Did you know that the Wikipedia Sandbox is available for testing out edits?

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

September 2022 edit

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Loukas Yorkas, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Theodorosyiorkas, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Theodorosyiorkas|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 09:02, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Im not promoting any topic in wikipedia and i dont get paid for this. I just try to reorganize the page of Loukas Yorkas with news and verified information about him and nothing more. How can i show you that im trying to help? Dzek (talk) 09:05, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
You seem to have a connection with Mr. Yorkas, and other evidence which I am not allowed to disclose publicly suggests to me you are a paid editor. How did you come to edit about him? If you have any sort of paid relationship with Mr. Yorkas(and "paid relationship" is not limited to specific payment for edits) the Terms of Use require that to be disclosed. 331dot (talk) 09:11, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Im start to get angry with this. I dont have any paid relationship with mr. Yiorkas and i dont try to promote anything about him! Im trying to fill his page with reliable content. Prove me wrong. Show me something which i did and it shows that i am promoting Loukas Yorkas!! I will wait an answer. Dzek (talk) 09:15, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
"Promotion" has a much broader meaning on Wikipedia than you seem to use yourself. You don't have to be actively selling someting or soliciting customers or talking someone up to be promoting them here, or to have an interest in promoting them. You have edited primarily about Mr. Yorkas in the course of your editing career and as I noted previously you seem to have a connection with him(in order to know what he wants). I am not trying to make you angry, but the questions I have posed need to be answered. As I said, the Terms of Use require that any paid relationship with a topic needs to be disclosed, and while not in the Terms of Use, conflict of interest should be disclosed. These things do not mean that you cannot contribute, only that certain procedures need to be followed. 331dot (talk) 09:21, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
If you want an answer about how i come and start editing, I was surfing in wikipedia in other pages and then i see Loukas Yorkas page and i said to change some things which need to change. some minors things, some typo etc. Also i added 2 references about his work which there are many links and especially in iMdB etc. Im trying to help and also if i can i will help others pages too. Dzek (talk) 09:26, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Are you in communication with him? You made an edit to remove something from the article and said it was what he wanted. 331dot (talk) 09:28, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
@331dot i said that because everything i changed was rejected. Everything i do its on my own and im trying to find references for everything. Dzek (talk) 09:31, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:

To start with, I want to confirm that I understand the terms of use and the notification requirements of the paid edits

I have not, do not and will not receive any remuneration from anyone for any edits I have done, am doing or will do in the future because I do not do it as a profession or generally do not do it for payment. I have no relationship or communication with Loukas Yorkas. Clear. Just due to the fact that I was and still am new to Wikipedia I don't know how the whole system works and I am slowly learning. I just happened to be involved with this particular page and can help as much as I can with information and references.

In the future if I am allowed to edit on Wikipedia again I will speak up and ask in the talk tab of each page for any changes I suggest to be made.

I hope I have made myself understood.

Thank you very much! Dzek (talk) 10:13, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

My friend its so simple! Because i was new in Wikipedia and i didnt know how it goes here I start make changes without any references so i tell you that im his brother to leave me and accept my changes. It was a big fault from me and i said in my previous unblock request that i will not do it again! Theodorosyiorkas (talk) 20:02, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

@331dot What exactly are you trying to do? Theodorosyiorkas (talk) 05:37, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'm not "trying to do" anything other than ask a question. Either you were lying then, or you are lying now, which is it? If you don't wish to answer, that is your choice, but it doesn't help you with this unblock request(which someone else will review). If you want to start to rebuild trust, only full honesty will do that. 331dot (talk) 05:46, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
@331dot I was full honest with this situation. I will tell another time the whole story and i will try to be simple. When I created my wikipedia user account i didnt read any terms of use etc and i start editing Loukas Yorkas article's page. The most changes i made werent with references so some editors revert my changes. I got angry and I tell them that I am his brother so to believe that i said the truth but as someone says wikipedia is not about truth instead is about prove your changes with references. So now i understand how wikipedia works and i will try again to help with Loukas Yorkas article but this time with any rule involved. I mean that i will ask before do anything and I will give references about anything. I think this is clear! I dont have anything more to say. Just this. Thank you! Theodorosyiorkas (talk) 06:01, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
So you lied when you said he was your brother. Got it. Once you lie, it becomes more difficult to believe what you say. I have nothing more to say either. Good day; someone will review your request. 331dot (talk) 06:04, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
@331dot Oh my friend... You act like you are a robot. This happen before 3 years. I'm a human and I react very wrong and it was my fault and so what now? I have to suicide about this? I was wrong and I promise that i will not do it again. Its simple and we go on. If you want to treat human as a human you know what you have to do. Have a good day!! Theodorosyiorkas (talk) 06:13, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
