New Economic Policy

edit

Hi! I have some notes on your addition to the article New Economic Policy:

Joseph Stalin had five categories that needed to be gone through in order for the five year plan to become effective they were aims, circumstances, results, and did it strengthen communism? The reason being that if the things that were done did not make a result then there was something else that needed to be done in order for it to make a change. In the aims category there were five things that were the goal to accomplish: To increase government control of the economy, to implement communistic goals, to win the civil war, to feed the red army. and to introduce capitalists elements into the economy in the hope that communism would be maintained in the long term.
  • The first is that your edit was unsourced. Any time you add content to an article you must back it up with an independent, reliable source. The source must also contain the claims or content that is being added to the article.
  • The content was written relatively casually and didn't really gel with Wikipedia's more formal writing style.

This content is also fairly specific to the first five year plan and was placed under the section "Disagreements in leadership". Keep in mind that this article should be specifically about the New Economic Policy so any content about the first five year plan (or any of the Five Year Plans) should be about how this plan impacted the New Economic Policy. If it's to be in this specific section, then it needs to be even more specifically about how the first five year plan either created, fostered, or resolved disagreements in leadership. Essentially, while Stalin initially supported the NEP, he did so for his own reasons as he didn't really like capitalism, as this was something he wanted to completely erase. To this end he created the Five Year Plans, the first of which was launched in 1928. These effectively reversed the NEP.

So what you need to look at here is how Stalin disagreed with Leon Trotsky and Vladimir Lenin as far as how the country (and something like this) should have been run. This section should be examining what exactly led to him choosing to create the FYPs. Basically, this is about what led to the FYP rather than the specifics about the FYP and how it ran. I removed this for the time being, since it needed some work.

I hope this helps! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:02, 12 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
