Comment Section (please post requests here) edit

Requesting removal of unsourced information in article Hell of the Living Dead; including section Director's Cut. The tags have been in place for over a week and the information itself has been on the page for even longer. The IMDB page confirms it as a hoax. --198.178.117.200 (talk) 15:28, 23 August 2014 (UTC) --Unfortunately, IMDB is not considered a verifiable source according to standards and guidelines. Upon reviewing your request, you still have NOT reached out to the user asking him/her to verify the contributions. After you finishing the process we adhere to here, the clock with start ticking. If after a week, that user fails to come through with the proper citations, then I will delete it myself. I feel your frustration but this is how we have to do things (for instance, what if the alleged hoax on IMDB is a hoax within a hoax? and everything from emails to blogs can be faked to serve that agenda just as easily as somebody can fake a director's cut). I'd do it myself but my plate is full and this movie is obscure enough that it can wait. Once you do this, I will watch the page and if the user can not provide proper citation, I will take care of it. In the meanwhile, there is a touch of an obsession/personal agenda in this with you. Take a deep breath and remember, it's just a movie. As far as I can see, this is not the kind of libel that can harm anyone at present. If it turns out to be untrue, then I will give a polite warning to the user and be done with it. In the meanwhile, please adhere to protocol and finish the process I have asked of you. And have a wonderful day.Thefearedhallmonitor (talk) 04:12, 27 August 2014 (UTC) --Understood. I doubt that the editor will be back to check any messages on his talk page, but I will do as you ask. The reason why I mention IMDB is because the creator of the "director's cut" has since come forward and admitted the hoax and the FAQ on that page has been changed accordingly. Maybe this seems personal to you, but the truth is I came across this "hoax" by coincidence and my only agenda is preventing the spread of misinformation. I will now reach out to the editor who made those claims. --198.178.117.200 (talk) 15:15, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

--I have done as you asked by requesting verifiable sources from user 71.33.197.82 (talk) for the changes he/she made in the article Hell of the Living Dead. If I have not followed proper procedure in doing this then I apologize in advance and welcome any feedback you can give. Thank you. --198.178.117.200 (talk) 16:31, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

No worries. Looks like another veteran editor got to it before I did. Problem solved! Possibly even the original author (since the original author forgot to sign in and was forced to use his IP address). Either way, it appears to be resolved. Happy editing.Thefearedhallmonitor (talk) 03:28, 28 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

false positive edit

This reversion was a false positive for vandalism. I removed claims that were made by 71.33.197.82, which were not backed up with any sources at all. I did my own research and found that the editor's claims were simply not true. I'm only trying to clean up that article. --198.178.117.200 (talk) 05:54, 11 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Batman v Superman edit

I never vandalised the page. Instead I wanted to protect the flow of the content by showing that user the right way to put information and where. As u can see her mentioned box office figures for China and North America in the global section which is seldom done and too early. We derive a general consensus of a box office performance after it had ended its theatrical run. He has 0 knowledge about what to add where. There's two way of writing box office performance 1) by splitting the overall box office performance into North America section and Outside North America section with the overall (or global) section at the top . For example Transformers: Age of Extinction, The Avengers, Jurassic World, Zootopia etc 2) by merging domestic (NA) and international figures one para after another. Example, Avatar and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We are currently following the former style of writing for Batman v Superman where specific country analysis are written either on the "North America" section for US and Canada and the rest of the country in the "Outside North America" section and we don't write specific box office performance for a respective country at the top or global section. This is why the "outside North America" section exists. But he doesn't realize that. I have explained in details everything about where to add contents for which country but it seems I'm being dubbed the bad guy. Even after trying to do my best to make wikipedia better, I still get these kinds of messages. I could've reported him to. But I wouldn't cause I wanted to make him understand and not go the the extrem level. Well it's not my fault now that whatever he added is not appropriate. I'll just go by minding my own business doing my best to contribute for other films box office performance. (User talk:Josephlalrinhlua786) 23:05 28 March, 2016 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ghriscore, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. GoneIn60 (talk) 06:36, 6 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
