Thanks dave... although I have been here a couple of years now. :) I just never got around to writing a user page. TheDewi 09:08, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Nice work – I didn't bother with one for quite a while. Also good work on toning down that rather garish welcome section: it seemed like suitable revenge for your winding up the ID contributors, very successfully. Welcome to the community, glad to see you here...... dave souza, talk 10:20, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hehe... I couldn't help it. But there is a message in my satire - I really am surprised that I have never gotten any sense of the long-term from the ID camp. I'm no expert, but apart from a wedge strategy against the theory of darwinian natural selection, I see nothing. I'm no expert, so maybe there is something and I missed it! If not, scary. Nicely done, but perhaps the answer was upfront at 12' 20'' into Google video: the BBC documentary, "A War On Science." – transcript of that bit at Talk:Creation-evolution controversy#Johnson in A War on Science. Unless he's lying. I like the monkey song, but definitely something of the horror movie about it. Others know a lot more about the subject than I do, though of course they're experts on as against proponents of ID. Feel free to ask, but don't have high hopes of getting sense out of ID supporters. ,,,, dave souza, talk 18:45, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am sort of confused. What is the monkey song?--Filll 00:22, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

To clarify a silly aside, at 2 minutes into A War on Science someone says "the monkey song, I don't know what else to call it" and as a school bus goes along a country road, children's voices sing "I'm no kin to a monkey on a rope, a monkey's no kin to me tada da" etc. A catchy piece of daft propaganda. .. dave souza, talk 00:55, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
