March 2022 edit

Hello Thecontentcreator20. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Berjaya Corp CEO, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Thecontentcreator20. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Thecontentcreator20|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. SK2242 (talk) 02:46, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, what kind of details do you require? I am actually doing this with no compensation in mind. Thecontentcreator20 (talk) 03:13, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
If you work for the Berjaya Corp or any other company Syed Ali is connected with you would have to disclose it on your user page as I described. SK2242 (talk) 03:31, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Done, Please do review the article for any further comments thank you. Thecontentcreator20 (talk) 03:39, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi there McMatter, Can kindly explain the reason why the article is rejected. Is there anything wrong with my references?. Please advice what needs to be done in order to get article published. Would appreciate your response Thanks Thecontentcreator20 (talk) 03:57, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Additionally I am not sure how to change the title of the draft as it should be the name of the individual rather than Berjaya Corp CEO, looking forward to your kind advice Thecontentcreator20 (talk) 03:59, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
The draft has been rejected as they are not notable, no amount of editing will make them notable. The sources are reprints and rehashes of the same press release. Press releases are not reliable and offer nothing towards notability. Being a CEO of non notable company does not infer notability or even significance. McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 04:06, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
I understand your concern, I am just wondering how the previous CEO of the same company had a Wikipedia article in that case, please refer to link (https://ms.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdul_Jalil_Abdul_Rasheed). How was different from the draft? Looking forward to your kind reply Thecontentcreator20 (talk) 04:13, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
That is on a different language Wikipedia project, each language version has its own inclusion criteria. McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 04:26, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
