Hi, I note you have been changing the names of templates on MP township sites from suburbs to towns. While your terminology may well be more correct, in fact you are just creating dead links. So unless you plan to do all the work involve in rewriting the templates, can I suggest you leave them alone? --Michael Johnson 11:43, 13 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree - consensus has already been determined (even in the more obscure cases in parts of Cardinia and Mornington Peninsula where some areas are non-contiguous) that anything in those two shires is deemed a "suburb of Melbourne". The problem was a conflict between the arguable situation on the ground and Wikipedia's policies on original research, and it's consistent with decisions taken for all Australian cities that the ABS major statistical division boundaries are used. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
