Nathan Eswine

Hi, User:Thebadgey. I have had to delete the article Nathan Eswine and protected it from being created for two weeks. You have recreated the article three times, despite being told multiple times that you shouldn't.

For an article to be included on Wikipedia, the author must show why the subject of that article is notable, which basically means that a reliable third-party publication has written about that subject. These reliable sources can be newspaper articles, magazine articles, articles in reliable websites (usually if they or their parent company has an article here, they're notable and reliable), a television show, etc etc. Wikipedia:Notability (people) also gives more information about how you can show that a person is notable. I have found nothing at Google to indicate that Nathan Eswine meets our threshold for notability, and until that occurs, an article on that person should not exist.

I suggest you also read Wikipedia:Your first article, which is a guide to some things you should know before creating your first Wikipedia article. From your username, I believe you may actually be Nathan Eswine, so you should also read Wikipedia:Autobiography, which is a guideline to writing articles about yourself. Generally, it is discouraged, except in special circumstances such as reverting vandalism. If you believe you do deserve an article written about yourself, you can ask at WP:REQUEST for another editor to create that article.

As I stated in the previous message, you have been accused of "sock puppetry". This means that someone suspects you of using more than one username (or account) in an unconventional way; in this case, creating and editing the same article. Users are usually only allowed one username, and any additional accounts can be blocked indefinitely from editing. I should also advise you here that it would be unwise to ask your friends or family to create an article about you at Wikipedia. This is known as "meat puppetry", and carries the same penalty as socking.

For what it's worth, I don't believe you have recreated the article or used two accounts to be intentionally disruptive, rather that you are new to the site and unfamiliar with our policies and guidelines; however, if you continue to create the article or additional accounts, it won't look good for you.
