Heh, I don't generally approve of advocacy in signatures, but thanks. I tackled a few of Scott's deletions piecemeal yesterday and was appalled at some of the things that were removed when sourcing would have been so easy - though of course that's also due to the long-term problems with tackling the unreferenced backlog. I'm going to try and use my bot skills to make a list of the deleted articles with some more info, so that anyone interested (including ARS) can help attack this in a more systematic manner. the wub "?!" 10:45, 22 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I asked an admin to userfy scotts deletions: User_talk:Camw#Invitation and she said ten at a time. I would have pursued finding an admin who would userfy all of them, but decided there are more "big picture" important things to focus on. I listed all of Scotts deletions which had not been restored in a collapsible table. That may help. Ikip Frank Andersson (45 revisions restored):an olympic medallist for f**k's sake

See User:The wub/Lazarus, hopefully this will be helpful to people. the wub "?!" 20:13, 22 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

awesome, I will let the WP:Article Rescue Squadron and WP:Incubator projects know, problem is, is they are still deleted. I wish there was an admin which had as much gumption as scott does to revert his deletions. :) Ikip Frank Andersson (45 revisions restored):an olympic medallist for f**k's sake 21:05, 22 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Deleted BLPs edit

Hi, looking at User:The wub/Lazarus, feel free to add Linda Good [2] [3] [4], Andre Geraissati http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll] [5] [6], Rob Gardner [7] (he was in Guns n Roses for Pete's sake), Suezenne Fordham [8], and Chris Doherty [9] [10] [11] to my user space and I'll do my best to add sources. I'll take 5 or so musicians at a time. If you run into any obviously notable musicians feel free to give them to me also. Thanks J04n(talk page) 21:07, 22 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

OK done. Drop me a line if you finish them and want any more. Thanks for helping! the wub "?!" 23:18, 22 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, once I'm done can I move them right into article space or do I have to let someone ok them? J04n(talk page) 02:47, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Nah just move them straight back. You've done a nice job on the first two! the wub "?!" 11:02, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I finished 4 of the 5. I can't in good faith rescue the 5th, User:J04n/Suezenne Fordham, I just can't find enough. So, can you delete the pages from my user space (User:J04n/Linda Good, User:J04n/Andre Geraissati, User:J04n/Rob Gardner, User:J04n/Suezenne Fordham, User:J04n/Chris Doherty) and give me Paolo Di Cioccio [12] and Danny Coralles [13]. Thanks for your help J04n(talk page) 12:58, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

OK done. For future reference you can untick the box that says "leave a redirect behind" when moving them back into article space. the wub "?!" 23:40, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Lazarus like script help edit

the wub, could you possibly run your script around User_talk:Abecedare/Unreferenced_India_BLPs and create tables like you have at User:The wub/Lazarus with the iw links and categories and one extra column for comments? A few of us are attempting to source these and it would help us prioritize and ease our task. cheers. –SpacemanSpiff 06:45, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ok, it's on my todo list. the wub "?!" 11:07, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. –SpacemanSpiff 11:42, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
BTW, we've moved the page to project space, now at WP:IND/UBLP. Also, WP:CRIC has a similar one at WP:WikiProject Cricket/Unreferenced BLPs and WP:AUS at WP:WikiProject Australia/Unreferenced BLPs and I guess they'd find it useful too (I know Cricket will as I'm part of that). cheers. –SpacemanSpiff 18:11, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Ok, these are finally up: India, Cricket, Australia. Copy/move them or whatever, you may want to split them as they are quite big. Sorry for the delay in getting these done, my computer apparently hates me and I've been swamped recently. the wub "?!" 23:01, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks very much, I'll copy them over to a sub-page and then integrate to the lists. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 00:51, 5 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

What kind of script are you using? I have a related list at User:Apoc2400/Deletion list. The Google cache links are very useful there. --Apoc2400 (talk) 14:33, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Potential issue with your bot edit

Someone renamed the Game queue to Games. I don't know if your bot reloads the queue list on every run or not, so this may or may not be an issue. By the way, do you mind sharing the source for your bot? Pcap ping 21:16, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

OK thanks for the heads up. I'll put the source up later, but I'm warning you - it's a horrible mess! the wub "?!" 17:19, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Final discussion for Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people edit

Hello, I note that you have commented on the first phase of Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people

As this RFC closes, there are two proposals being considered:

  1. Proposal to Close This RfC
  2. Alternate proposal to close this RFC: we don't need a whole new layer of bureaucracy

Your opinion on this is welcome. Okip 02:04, 24 February 2010 (UTC)== b3ta ==Reply
