Your edits edit

Please stop leaving messages for users such as "Go away - Stop deleting these images that no one really cares about." It's rude and unnecessary and will ultimately lead to your account from being treated as a vandalism account. The Rambling Man 13:37, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't care if you think it's right, it's still rude and unnecessary. You've been warned. The Rambling Man 13:43, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm bothered because I consider it rude, offensive and the act of a vandal. Okay? The Rambling Man 13:51, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Stop it. Now. The Rambling Man 13:53, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
If you're "serious here" then I suggest you stop adding comments to other user's pages that say "Go away". Continuing to do so will limit your editing capability. The Rambling Man 13:57, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

All admins have a responsibility to enforce Wikipedia policies. Civility is important - otherwise we wouldn't have a policy about it. Please calm down a little. Politeness costs you nothing and makes you look the better (H) man. :-) --Dweller 13:58, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hmmm... if he hadn't admonished you, would you have realised you were doing the wrong thing? --Dweller 14:04, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, what Dweller said. If it's discourtesy and rudeness, it is my business. Thanks. The Rambling Man 14:22, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ah... I think you got caught in the cross-fire with another editor and your comment on his talk page was mistakenly reverted, along with the one he intended to remove, lol. --Dweller 14:23, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well whether you agree or not, leaving a message like that is unacceptable so please refrain from doing so in the future. Happy editing. The Rambling Man 14:34, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mad varnish edit

See WP:BAND and WP:BIO and WP:N that discusses the notability requirements at Wikipedia and how those pertain to biographical articles and for musicians. Please provide me with the links to the required number of reliable third party sources that give Mad varnish significant coverage, as required. See WP:RS to see what reliable sources are. Cheers, Carlossuarez46 21:44, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • There is special sensitivity to biographies of living people WP:BLP, so these generally get looked at quickly and deleted if they don't conform to the standard criteria. You can always start the article in your user space and not move it into its title until it's ready. You can start here. Carlossuarez46 21:57, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Scanger edit

Hi H-Man. Not sure about your interpretation of "better", but the version of Scanger you restored was anything but. Please ensure info is sourced and encyclopedic. Thanks, Deiz talk 00:26, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Maybe read up on WP:V, WP:RS. Deiz talk 00:19, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, but I can't make out a lot of what you're trying to say. To clarify: Unsourced information can and will be removed. The observations of a few people who happen to know some skangers violates WP:OR as well as WP:V. Some things can be empirically obvious to a great many people - that Big Macs have sesame seeds on the buns, that the sky is blue, that Coca-cola competes with Pepsi. Skangers are a far narrower, disputed realm of knowledge. Sources please. Deiz talk 02:19, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Killing Pablo edit

Have you read this book? I was looking for something to read on his life to use as a source for his article and the Medellin cartel article. I went to Amazon and they were bashing the book, reader reviews that is, claiming the book was not accurate and the author had a lot of basic information wrong, spelling on the native population, years some officials were in office etc. What is your take on it? --SevenOfDiamonds 18:39, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

cutty ranks article edit

"Cutty Ranks song Limb by Limb was played by Father Fintan Stack in the Father Ted episode New Jack City. " this information is only relevant in the article on the show episode or an article for the song "limb by limb", not the main Cutty Ranks page.--AlexOvShaolin 02:48, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • "in popular culture" is frowned upon as trivia is. furthermore it undermines Ranks as an artist to say that his music being played in a TV episode is relevant. stuff like this gets taken out of band articles all the time and deleted. this information is relevant to the TV episode, not the main Cutty Ranks article. --AlexOvShaolin 17:46, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

November 2007 edit

This is your only warning.
The next time you make a personal attack as you did at Talk:Kazakhstan, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. This is wiki-knowledge VegitaU (talk) 23:12, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Read WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. And yeah, I'll have you blocked you if it happens again. Oh, and I'll be monitoring your contributions so it applies if you attack another user. Happy editing!   -- VegitaU (talk) 15:28, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
