Welcome, from Journalist
Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello The Catfish. My name is Orane (but I go by the name 'Journalist' on Wikipedia) and I am one of Wikipedia's Administrators. I just stopped by to say Hi and to formally welcome you to Wikipedia. Thank you for your awesome contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I know that being here for the first few days may be a bit confusing, but you'll get used to it pretty soon.

Here are a few good links for newcomers. I know that they can be boring, but I recommend that you take a look at them:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! You can come to my talk page if you have any questions. If Im online, I will definitely respond. If I'm offline, you can go to Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome! Come say Hi!

Overflowing quotes

edit

I'm a bit embarassed to say that I've seen this error before, but honestly, I'm not sure what causes it? Is there any way other than manual line wrapping to prevent this? This seems to be a problem with wikicode. I am about to sleep but if you know a simple way to fix this, I would not mind at all if you did so. I have a final project due in two days so I will be taking a wikibreak, unfortunately. Thanks for pointing this out to me, you're right, this is totally ridiculous. - JustinWick 05:37, 14 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

CDVF problem

edit

I'm really not too sure, but maybe the problem you eluded to with CryptoDerk's Vandal Fighter is that it can't load your browser properly. Maybe untick "Automatically detect browser" in the Configuation tab, and specify the location of your browser.--Commander Keane 16:02, 17 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

THANK YOU!!!!! (Especially for the guide on how to add new footnotes. I still have a bunch) Palm_Dogg 20:42, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

Sunday Times Golden Globe Race

edit

Hi, sorry to bug you, and feel free to ignore if you're not interested, but I found your comments on the Panama Canal FAC so helpful that I wondered if you would be interested in looking over the Sunday Times Golden Globe Race FAC. I feel that this is an interesting article; it currently has a couple of "support" votes, but seems to be suffering from a lack of interest. I'd much rather have it fail because of 100 specific objections than for simple lack of readers; so, if you have too much time on your hands ;-), I'd welcome any comments you might have, positive or negative. Cheers, — Johan the Ghost seance 14:42, 5 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I just want to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. 69.40.243.98 18:47, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Expanded the lead per your request, hopefully it is enough to garner your support on the FAC. Thanks for the comments either way! Staxringold talkcontribs 01:36, 31 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
