Hello, I would like to know the reason behind the reverting of the edit on Bisbee. I don't exactly understand the revert, so a reason would be acceptable so I can understand. Would I be able to re-add the flag, though this time in the footnotes section, like Maricopa, Arizona? I would very much appreciate any information you have regarding this so i can avoid making this mistake again in the future. Thanks - Enieryourusername12345 (talk) 18:10, 11 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please see MOS:INFOBOXFLAG, cheers Fettlemap (talk) 04:56, 13 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

A barnstar for you! edit

  The Original Barnstar
For adding the flags of various small communities in West Virginia. These would otherwise be unknown to the outside world if not for you. Keep up the good work! Blsii (talk) 18:33, 10 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I appreciate this barnstar very much. It took a lot of researching to find these flags. Going on Google maps, Facebook, official city websites, etc. I believe that this barnstar was worth the effort. Thank you very much Blsii. TheVexillologistofKingwood (talk) 22:54, 10 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Flag of Stow, Ohio edit

Thank you for your efforts in vectorizing flags that I've noticed so far in several city articles I follow. I am currently serving on a committee in Kent, Ohio, to design a new flag as the current "official" flag from 1975 is virtually unknown to the point even city leaders stated the city didn't have a flag. That said, I did want to ask about a recent flag. In the flag for the neighboring city of Stow, Ohio, File:Flag of Stow, Ohio.svg, the punctuation after "Stow" shows a period ("Stow. Ohio"), which obviously came from the original graphic. I noticed in a picture of an actual flag that it has the correct punctuation ("Stow, Ohio"). Would it be possible for you to update that on the vector? Thank you! -- JonRidinger (talk) 15:46, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

No problemo, I will correct the punctuation error on Stow's flag. Also, I very much appreciate you reaching out to me in regards to your city flag. I also didn't know about Kent's flag until now, I would also like to thank you for telling me that the flag of Kent could be getting replaced. I also have some questions in regards to the future status of Kent's flag. Will the flag be replaced through a flag contest? Are there efforts already underway to the creation of a new flag? Has there been a popular redesign that has gained attraction within the community of Kent?
Again, thank you very much for reaching out to me about the error that I have made, it's not the first time (Ceredo, WV). I will be looking forward to seeing the new flag once it is made official and has been adopted, Thank you JonRidinger. -- TheVexillologistofKingwood (talk) 19:29, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Much appreciated! I didn't even notice the Stow issue until someone mentioned it on a post I made using the original graphic (not the vector you created). It wasn't your error, though, but one that was from the original graphic.
As for the Kent flag, the city tried to design a new flag last year and the result was (thankfully) voted down by council, so they established a new flag design committee last month (appointed after an application and interview process), which I have been named the chair of, and we started taking designs earlier this month. Right now we are accepting designs from anyone with a Kent connection that follow the basic principles of good flag design and, so far, we have gotten a decent response. At this point, it's mostly seeing what elements--colors, symbols, flag shape, etc.--show up the most in design submissions. The role of the committee is ultimately to narrow the designs and guide the process to get down to 2 or 3 we can then present to the public. We may see a submitted design that we like, but it needs adjusted, for instance. It won't be a contest where we just pick a design or select our top ten and open it to votes (unless someone submits a design that everyone happens to like!). It's going to be quite the process to make sure the flag is representative of the city, is a good design by vexillological standards, but is also being something people would fly at their homes. The previous flag from 1975 will hopefully find a place in a display inside the new city hall, currently under construction. --JonRidinger (talk) 14:25, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

A barnstar for you! edit

  Heraldry and Vexillology Barnstar
For your dedication to vexillology & greatly expanding the diversity of flags on Wikimedia Commons. Flagvisioner (talk) 00:59, 8 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

I do have some feedback for you, though: I am reminding you once again, to please see your talk page on Wikimedia Commons. You are not able to attach your own copyright to a flag that uses simplistic-looking shapes.
