Seez, welcome (back) to the Wikipedia. Good to have more contributors to the Malaysian sections. If you have time, would be good to have your input on these pages:

Thanks! Fuzheado 06:19, 22 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Hi, perhaps you would like to contribute to the Malay wikipedia? Cheers, -- Kowey 08:17, 22 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Hi, thank you for your very useful contributions to Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. One small matter: I noticed that you uploaded the image of him in BMP format. I converted it to JPG format. The difference is size is 20x, ie 140kb vs 7,5kb. As I am sure you appreciate, this makes a huge difference for users with slow connections. In the future, please use JPG format for photos! Also, could you go to the image page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image%3ABadawi.jpg and supply some kind of copyright disclaimer? If you didn't take the picture yourself, simply stating the source (the website) and the phrase "fair use" probably should be sufficient. Thanks and best regards. -- Viajero 18:59, 12 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Three Gorges Dam

edit

You added a disputed neutrality message to Three Gorges Dam on Feb 18. Is there anything in particular that you object to? Generally if you dispute something, you should make some attempt to correct it or at the very least leave a message on the talk page so that at least people will understand why it is being disputed. older wiser 02:17, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)

edit summaries

edit

Please fill in the edit summaries when you make an edit to an article (in your most recent 500 edits [1] you haven't given an edit summary once). It makes it easier for others to follow changes in an article. Thanks.-- Viajero 08:35, 26 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

Malaysia coat of arms

edit

Would you please respond to my query on Image_talk:Coat_of_arms.jpg regarding its source and copyrights? BTW, as do Viajero I would really appreciate seeing "edit summary" when you edit articles. -- sabre23t 11:18, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Unverified image

edit

Thanks for uploading the image

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the image and I'll tag it for you. Thanks, Kbh3rd 01:36, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Hello - what happened was I blocked User:Stupidfuck, but Wikimedia has a feature whereby any IP address a blocked username tries to use is itself temporarily blocked. Anyway, that IP address should hopefully be usable again now. Evercat 20:24, 17 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Vidkun Quisling.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Vidkun Quisling.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:20, 29 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 12:20, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Amateur Transplants

edit

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Amateur Transplants, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. Speedy deletion of Amateur Transplants

edit

A tag has been placed on Amateur Transplants requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Sticky Parkin 22:32, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
