Naomi Oreskes edit

I suggest that you look more deeply into the specifics. If you have any comment to make on the reverts, then state them on the Oreskes talk - or if i've made a mistake - then please state these on my talk.

From what i can see - i've reverted several insertions of POV that broke several wikipedia guidelines, and i did so each time with specifics on why they were reverted. --Kim D. Petersen (talk) 11:06, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please be more careful before suggesting that new editors 'ignore all rules' and in particular, ignore discussion. It is not helpful to the article nor is it helping the new editors that are concerned about them. It can be very disruptive. Thank you. --Apis (talk) 08:09, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

It might be worth noting that the page got locked for edit waring a few hours later. I don't disagree with wp:iar in general, but perhaps the timing was a bit off? --Apis (talk) 13:36, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

WP:TALK and WP:SOAP edit

Please read the , here is the relevant section (emphasis mine):

Never edit someone's words to change their meaning. Editing others' comments is sometimes allowed, but you should exercise caution in doing so. Some examples of appropriately editing others' comments:
...
  • Deleting material not relevant to improving the article (per the above subsection #How to use article talk pages).
  • Removing personal attacks and incivility. This is controversial, and many editors do not feel it is acceptable; please read WP:ATTACK#Removal of text and WP:CIVIL#Removing uncivil comments before removing anything.

The comment [1] was in breach of both of these, and thus very much in accordance with the guidelines to be deleted. If you sympathize with the users POV - then i suggest that you educate him on Wikipedias rules - so that he doesn't get more inappropriate comments deleted. --Kim D. Petersen (talk) 19:32, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps its time that you insert yourself as a friendly wikipedia guide for User:Grazen and help him understand the ropes? It would be much appreciated. --Kim D. Petersen (talk) 20:14, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Oreskes Debacle edit

Thanks for your work trying to quell tempers and get things back on track. I first heard about it in the newspaper. When I popped over to the wikipedia page, I saw alot of personal attacks and POV-pushing. Hopefully people will be able to put aside their animosities and get to some kind of consensus. 131.96.91.129 (talk) 18:00, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Trevor Linden edit

While the current format is good now, I just have comment about what it was like previous. As far as I can tell, the images followed all WP:MOS#Images regulations, with the first image on the right. The second one, not being under a heading, wasn't an issue with that. Again though, this current format works, I just don't totally fully understand the image policy. User:Segregator123 edit

Not only in the C-802 page but he also deliberately introduces wrong facts to the PL-12 page. He may also own a sock puppet who I belief is User:Proelitez. Please take appropriate action. It seems like Wikipedia is being comtaminated with factual errors. --60.50.70.65 (talk) 12:31, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you feel that someone is using a sockpuppet, please report it to WP:SUSPSOCK. Thanks. ThePointblank (talk) 00:35, 13 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
